Popcorn on the Cob

Aunt Shannon grew some popcorn this year.
The farm grows popcorn about every 2-3 years,
we gather to shell it and then divi it up and freeze until use!
Ever had fresh popcorn?  It cannot be beat.
This year Aunt Judy told me that it could be popped on the cob.
Put your cob in the bag

Since it was Sam's turn first.
Mandatory 2 fisted break for Joe to lick the brownie spoon

And watch it pop

Proud of the result!

But afraid to taste it

Added a little salt - yummo! Popcorn on the cob!

For Joe too!

And just for good measure, closer inspection
goggles will do when a magnifying glass isn't near

Yummy and fun Sunday treat.

Toy Trader

These beauties {toys not the kids}
have become a part of a new game at our home.
Toy Trader
The boys call it a game, so far I am calling it genius!
All of our toys were collected and sorted.
All of them,
and all of their missing pieces and parts were returned to their rightful homes.
Then sorted by like items, photographed and organized in the basement.
They can be brought up by choosing from the
Toy Trader Book.
The toy trader book has pictures of each of the set of toys
that can be traded for the one currently upstairs.
So far I love it.
Sam is not so sure playing his usual very sad side as i organized downstairs.
But, I don't like the toys down here, our house is not the same.
{sniff, but i think he will like mama not going crazy all the time either}
Joe loved helping me, he just played his usual happy self.
And the first Toy Trader Choice?
The Geo-Trax Train, of course

Mr Potato Head

This morning I got down on the floor and played Mr. Potato Head

The boys were sure to tell me that this was not right.

But apparently neither was this!

We have had these Mr Potato Head here for a few years.
The boys didn't so much as give them a look.
Until I decided to try out Toy Trader.
I tell ya more about it later.
It is 2 weeks old and working beautifully  [for now].
