Our Quinn Scott

I saw this *brilliant* idea for a sweet baby girl photo shoot
and her mama was all game.

We gathered all the needed sunflowers

From my SIL Gander Hill Gardens

They were arranged
and sweet baby girl,
Quinn Scott
came with all of her smiles
in her chicken print dress.
She smiled so sweet sitting in her Papaw Scott's Childhood wagon.

What better time to rave about the joy this girl brings our family.
She is laid back, so very sweet, quick to smile, does not meet
a stranger and she is so scrumptiously snuggable.
She is pure joy and we are thankful she is ours!

And then time for the main event - the sunflower milk bath - all the Pinterest rage!
But, it was a few pics later and a costume change or a warm but breezy late September evening...
with lukewarm milk bath and alas our ALWAYS smiley Quinn Scott
was not having one bit of this nonsense!!!!

We tried all angles for a max of 2 minutes - I snapped trying to get  just one smiley shot.
But, we sure did capture some sweet images anyway
then we snatched her up and snuggled the sniffles away.

Graham was very curious about this bucket of water - he rather enjoyed it!
It appears we picked the wrong kiddo!

Fun memories made and and A for effort! Ha!

Joe's 5K

So proud of Joe for joining Blake Noah and kiddos for his first 5K!
It was rainy and a bit chilly (for summertime) for the Summerfest 5K.

Mama was at work so Blake sent me some pics.
And I think he could have complained a little less according to the tale, but it was complete!

Bonus Photo with Aunt Peggy who was a volunteer at one of the stations!

First 5K!

Evening at the Ballpark

Evenings at the ball park are some of my favorites!
I love watching this guy play baseball.
He hustles and tries hard, he's a leader and encourager.
He loves the game.

He pitched a great game. Had fun with team mates
This year ND brought teams down a few times to play us
so that was fun for the boys!

Graham and Quinn (oh and their mom and dad) were on a walk on purpose past the field
so they could come see Joe play -we love that!

Quinnie girl was so happy in her seat so we let her be!
It's hard to believe that Graham was this size last year when he came to the ballfield!

Jewelry ReLoved!

We've been planning this awesome craft using my mom's old jewelry!
These boxes are a treasure for me for certain.
But, wouldn't they be more of a treasure if they could be enjoyed!

My mom was uber organized, and she loved her jewelry - this is how she divided her stuff, by color.
I loved looking thru her drawers in high school to see if she had something that would complete my outfit. She had a wall of necklaces but didn't care for bracelets.  I definitely got her love for jewelry and so did Blake!

And my dad's box.  This circa 80s stuff makes me giggle
and brings back amazing memories of who my dad was.

So I began seeing vintage re purposed jewelry on Pinterest and got googled eyed!
I wanted to share this with everyone.

Here was a rough draft a few weeks ago. But after, I was finished with it I decided to go a different direction!

And I loved this one I LOVED.

And I started working on that by pulling pieces out of the treasure boxes.

And then I found my mom's signature watch and knew I had to use the band for arms.

Here is my complete creation.
I found the necklace in mom's box and the key in dad's box.
The bottom pocket watch is likely Grandpa Walkers, the middle watch was dad's and the top was mom's.

Saturday afternoon worked for everyone else to come and make their creations.
Chris was able to also bring her mom's jewelry for she and Blake and Morgan to use.

So this was not a tidy process. Tee hee.

Those 80s tho!

Blake chose a Q for Miss Quinn's room! And used a mix of mom's jewelry, her Grandma's jewelry and some buttons.

Morgan chose to make this beauty!

Christine made a jewel tone wreath and the background was an old velvet blazer
of my mom's!

Morgan also made this super neat flag. The army buttons were my Grandpa Summers
and the bullet was in dad's box.  The pearls are mostly her Grandma's.

And I loved the project but treasured the quality time the most!
