Mother Son Dance

Joe invited me to a mother son dance.
He had planned it since he got the paper from school.
He wrote me a note that I could not refuse.
Sam had basketball, so it meant Joe and I had all day
Church then we headed to Wendy's for lunch, his choice.
But, I did not complain because he opened my door!

Asked for a selfie, yes sir!

And then we had an afternoon to relax until it was time to go to the dance.
I could have stayed right there...
But, not Mr. Joe.
He had chosen his clothes earlier in the week.
And was proud of how nice we looked.
Seriously, be still my heart.
This boy is a stud.
He has style that was surpasses mine!

It did not take him long to find his buddies from school.
He love dancing the night away with Tye
and Brody.
We moms loved watching, joining in, and taking videos!

And, that night this is how I found him asleep.
Everything stripped off his bed in a pile and on top of that.

What a great memory to cherish.
We had so much fun and really enjoyed spending some individual time together.
What better way can we spend our time than with our children finding out
what makes them tick, what they love, and where they have fun.
We certainly did that this day.

Bible Memory Winter Camp

These pics at the end of winter camp are all I have as evidence
that the boys LOVED winter camp this year.
It feel on an off weekend during basketball season,
so both were able to attend!
Joe loved his first year.
He talked a mile a minute about making a car, his bible,
the food, his friends.

And Sam made a car but it didn't win
and
he played basketball.
Didn't remember the name of anyone,
so very typical.
He was all smiles as ususal.

Warm February Saturday

A dead laptop combined with a super full life
had me off track...I had already uploaded these last few posts way back when...
I will try to catch up.
There are times I consider letting the blog go,
but my boys LOVE the blog books I print.
These are, most certainly, the days we will remember.
I want to remember them in detail!
We had an unseasonably warm Saturday way back in February.
I'm a little behind, but am certain in was February
because I still have my winter ice skates on the porch
and Sam has on his basketball gear!

The boys took their super hero toys
out on the porch
and played for almost 2 hours.
I was working around the garage and cleaning the van out.

The days of playing superheros are becoming less.
Being replaced with school work, reading time, TV, some video games (not a ton),
a little Ipads and of course organized sports.
I cherish the times they play.

We spent the evening with Greg and Lela and their kiddos.
We usually end up playing horse in their basement,
more memories to cherish.

We love the rodeo, Dylan especially!  He was showing us
broncon bull.
