Time Spent with Family

Both of our families lead full lives and when we enjoy it!
We enjoyed the Walkers' and it always comes with a game of whiffle ball.
I think Drew had just been beamed by the pitcher.  Yeah, we laugh...there's no crying in baseball.
Cole bought a new toy - Blake and Taylor enjoying a ride.
Will took me for a spin, too!

Between innings..take a pot break. Ha. Love him.
Christine would probably like to to tell you that the pot
was there to use as a fundraiser for upcoming event at church LOL.

We had another severe storm this week  - I was at work.
It was fast and furious, we headed to the basement there for safety.
It was over in moments.  There was more house and farm damage on our road
but we were spared this round.
Beautiful rainbow afterward.

My little man agreed to join me for our high school's production of Grease.
It was fantastic.
From the actors to costumes to set design very very good!
We were in line to buy tickets and a friend, Shirley, gave us her tickets..
front row to boot - bonus!

DH bought a new "small rifle" (whatevs)
and he and Sam stayed home to zero in the scope.
Sam was pumped after he hit his target on the board, he tried his aim at this pop bottle
and busted it big time!
We might have a busted pop bottle with casing on our shelf now - **might**

Good Friday Together!

After a short week (that seemed long, ha) we enjoyed a relaxing Good Friday at home!
I surprised the boys with homemade biscuits and gravy...I send DH this picture and he just happened to need to run back home. Convenient.  We did a few loads of laundry and got ready for a busy weekend...
And we tackeled mulch mountain - one scoop at a time - ha.
No really we got a little more aggressive than this.
The mountain is still there but we made a dent in it

This one below is a mulch worker.  This was his second go around this year.
He enjoys it!

We planted Joe's cabbage from school smack dab in the middle of the landscaping.
We might do better growing it here...might.

And after a trip to the grocery store for Easter goodies..
he come with a roll of mentos for his afternoon experiment.
It was a cool reaction.

Riley Blankets!

Monday night after work we headed to make Riley Blankets with fellow Tri Kappa ladies.
Sam looks forward to  making the blankets and spending time with friend Reis.
These two worked those scissors hard and stayed focused...you'll see how their brothers did...

Uh huh - a little less focus here.
They did do some loops when they were available, but preferred playing with the strips of cloth not used on the blanket.
Kept us laughing...

Several blankets finished and ready for a new home!  Love teaching boys help others when possible - and their willingness is a good push for me after a long day - it would have been easy to drive home..
but I would have missed all this!
