Number 45

We snuck in a couple of games on Sunday before the second round of snow came in -
4th grade Lions played ND Cougars and another team (ha, I can't remember - they wore red camo shorts - isn't that a mom's memory for you - I am LOL at myself!)
What I remember is the tremendous effort we see from this team.
They try and they stick with it and the got SO CLOSE to winning this game.
I mean look at the guy shooting the free throw.

 Love our Number 45.

Our Bird Guy.

We've got a bird guy at our house.
He asked for a bird feeder and a bird book quite some time ago.
He keeps the book in our bay window that over looks the bird feeder.
He suited up to refill the feeder in the snow
so he could get some good bird watching in... he was rewarded!
We had some beautiful male and female cardinals  - 6 in all!

Winter Storm 2018

Friday Jan 12 our winter snowstorm started with  ice and snow all day long.
Activities were cancelled for that night and WB even closed at 5 due to road conditions and state recommendations.  By Saturday things were a little bit better but forecast was for another round to move in and did it ever!  By Monday, we woke up to this - kids were out of school and day by day we got the call and they did not go back to school ALL week.  There were many factors but mainly the thick layer of ice and low temps kept the snow and ice around all week so road conditions and wind chill made going to school off.

We missed a snow like this last winter.
And I must admit (as long as I don't have to drive) I enjoy how it slows things down
and makes the winter bleak look beautiful.

The pool view... (ha)

Thankful for DH who worked  to clear our drive twice so we could make it out

Because by Wednesday this was my trek to work.
