Farm Lessons.

Remember that time your son sent you a text at work that said he found a hooker?

Yeah, imagine the conversation that ensued when I sent a screenshot of this the Chiggie and Scott?!?

Proud parent moment right here.
We all need a hooker...

Time to Enjoy

This spring there was much more time to enjoy.

We went on a long walk at the Parklands in Jasper.
It was the perfect day - we took our time and enjoyed the spring weather.

There has also been time for porch sitting.
(and we sold our old van tires)
but not before Joe tried to use them for a seat but was not succesful!

I received a message at work that they were making doughnuts at Grandma's - funny thing is
I never even got a taste!!! And we made a Sweedish Meatball recipe from the Stoll cookbook - it was DELICIOUS - but not low in fat or carbs or really anything at all!!!
I received a messhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1AMk3SdxkLX1KhhXcr4lgQeDt3K_TTlzlhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1ZzSOSd6xLKF0g6QhfQU7ZQiTcsI6Dj1x
This kid.
He has explored holes and spaces in this house.
I don't even remember why he was behind the fridge, but he did clean for me while it was out - win!
And he claimed this little closet cubby to read in over quarantine.

This guy has also drug home a lot of treasures this spring.
It appears to be old  items to me....but a treasure to him for sure.
And he did not drag this home but ugh - it was not welcome.
Sam took care of it for me.  Got it out of the garage and snapped in in half.
I know, I know it probably wasn't harmful but I did not want to run into it again.
In my defense, I always rehome daddy long leg spiders - they don't bother me at all.  May I get some redemptive points for that?!?

Joe's friend Evan came over too for a fun afternoon visit!

Quarantine FirePit

Joe designed a redesigned a fire pit for us to enjoy at home.
He and Sam hauled all the blocks down to the area we agreed upon,
Sam did most of the hauling and Joe did most of the directing - lol.

And we enjoyed it later that night.  It is really pretty perfect.
Except we might have picked the wrong spot in our yard....we might move it at some point
to an area that connects to our other outside space !

For memory sake, we ran low on hot dogs (and quarantine, so no unnecessary trips) so
we had a couple dogs and mostly smoky links!!
