Bike Riders

We had a couple of determined young men

who taught themselves how to ride a bike this summer.

We've tried several times over the years but this was the time.

Sam had a little incentive, his friends have been riding bikes around town

to hang out together.  His first solo trip made a me a little anxious but Dan reminded me

he will be in a car this time next year!  AHHHH.  He did great.

They have been pretty protective of their bike rides, so I don't have many pics.

But someone took a pic of their highway crossing.  

We ask them to walk across the highway for safety - and Joe hasn't quite made it

this far yet.  

And a shot someone took of the driveway back home.

Noodle slap

They don't call it Noodle Slap but I think I'll suggest it.

If they are in the pool, it generally ends in a wrestle.

Quinn Came for the Day

Quinn came to visit for the whole day all by herself.

We sure gobbled up her mix of sweet and sass all the day long.

We made time to do some art work for mom and dad.

We did a footprint flag.

And some other painting.  She preferred to eat it.

And try on big cousin Joe's shoes.

Look at this little sass on our walk over to the pond. 

We played in the grass and picked the flowers.

Our afternoon was made sweeter by slushies.  Yum.

Those smiles!  I want to bottle them up!

Quinn, Thank you for coming to spend the day with us.  We loved every minute.
