We started by finding the Stout Grove Trail.

We hiked deep into the woods and it felt like a scene from Jurassic Park
We were rewarded at the end of the hike when we found Stout Grove.
Look at this selfie...my dysfunctional kiddos and DH gawking at the tree.
We hiked back out along the trail and chose to take a drive down Howland Hill Road.
It gets great reviews, but claims it is rugged.
That it is, put that rental car to use!
