The US was "all a buzz" about the upcoming solar eclipse on Aug 21.
Our area was in about 70% totality so we would definitely be able to see it.
The schools had plans on how the kids would view it either with safety glasses or on the chrome book if they were too young. We also had to sign releases for them to leave on time for eye safety.
It happened to fall on my day off, and I had lunch with DH and we used our glasses from the Smithsonian Air/Science Museum. It was pretty cool
I was able to pick up the boys
and this middle schooler was acting crazy with his glasses.
Sam's class, he is right behind the teacher.
There was still time for the elementary kid to see the eclipse
when we got home.
We had a test to study for and dinner to prepare so we multi-tasked.
Sam peeled potatoes while I quizzed him, ha!
DH has been working on this stump by oil/burn method
and Joe was right by his side.
