Britt Won't Quit

We hosted an awesome Brittany fundraiser two weeks ago
and as we planned the fundraiser
for her new liver transplant, we had no idea
God' plans included a transplant for her two days before our bake sale!
The way God orchestrates  the details of our lives and cares for us is awe inspiring.
We hosted a bake sale at our Loogootee WB and also took a travelling bake sale to our employees at Washington raising over $1,200 and WB will match $500!
Aunt Peggy dropped off these goodies for the bake sale!
Grandma Jean and other great friends helped our staff in baking, too!
And in the midst of all of this planning, my phone rang at 5:30pm one evening.
It was Mindy.
I will forever remember what it was like to get that call.
The call.
God had a liver planned for her and we needed to pray and pray hard until the transplant
team made the final decision about her liver.
Just the day before an infection might stop her chances if a liver became available
and then her heart was also still in a fragile state.  The doctors had to decide if she could receive this liver.  If all went well and it was a full match, they would proceed that evening.
But, she asked me to call the original Walker Siblings and start praying and that is what we did!
After all the calls were made and the community was also aware, updates started to come into my phone and by the next morning my screen with full of green hearts and concern for Miss Brittany.
The transplant proceeded about 10 pm that evening and by morning, she was in recovery.
And this is what my devotion centered around the next morning, just the reassurance needed.
Of course I shared that with her mama!
And we cannot even imagine facing this mountain without God, how would that even be possible.
So thankful for our strong faith filled family.
My office as we prepared to divide up and sell all the donated goodies!
And excited employees about our sale!
And the sunrise that I sent Mindy one morning because I know they miss home.
It has been 2 weeks and she is doing GREAT.
She is walking and doing homework
and
she still has a road to recovery
but
she is doing it, day by day.
