Our little town gets a fair amount of basketball publicity. A regional writer posted this picture
he took of our old JFK gym when he was passing thru town this year. This is a gym we frequent 3-4 times a week - one of our boys has practice there. In their younger days, they played tourney games there. It's older and shows it's age in some areas but the basketball floor is the same and it offers 2 goals - it a town like ours every gym is important. This picture is among the best I have seen of ol'JFK.
Joe's 7th grade basketball season began with an unsure look at how many games we might get to play. His team joined a pre season league in Evansville - Pocket City. They played a couple games each Saturday and his team improved their skills prior to their regular season. The league took a lot of Covid precautions and limited attendance but provided a great opportunity for the kids to play.
And then his team played a tournament in Evansville hosted by the Bosse Bulldogs.
Our boys came out on top - Bosse Bulldogs tournament Champs! 7th grade Lions!
Thankful for 2 young coaches giving their time to coach these boys: Dylan, Cam, Kylen, Joe, Pax, Mason, Evan, Emmett, Gabe.
