Spring Has Become Summer

It was a short spring. It was cold right up
until it was HOT.
The boys continue to help around the house learning chores.
Shortly after this Joe brought me a list of reasons
he could start a weed eating business and just how he would accomplish.
First on the list, borrow someone's weed eater - love it!

And Sam continues to love mowing.  He has begun trimming around trees
and other areas this year.  It helps a lot when he can run the big areas while
we weed eat or pull other weeds!

Enjoying the sites of spring, the promise of blooms to come!

And the first sight of the pool for this year, just the sight makes
the stress melt away

Wide open views since DH and Grandpa pulled out the line of dead/scraggly trees.

Beautiful mornings to enjoy coffee and devotions.

Flowers in bloom.

Even better view when a sweet boy joins me for the morning view!

Look close, I've had a hummingbird join me some mornings,
it is at the top feeding on the purple flowers!

Ugh, I'm apparently that age, I was having trouble with an unrelenting twitch in my eye
and I went to get it checked out, just tired eyes from strain.  Needed for distance and driving,
honestly I haven't worn them much because they make me dizzy!

We've had some strong spring rains, enjoying my azalea nonetheless.

And hold the presses - I've learned to work this grill!
Seriously - I'm going to be a midlife grill master.
Or maybe I'll just stick to the basics
take a look at the burger I butchered in the back ground, LOL.
I sent this picture to Dan when he was farming cause I was pretty proud!

Capturing those moments when your favorite 10 year old
comes outside to hang out while sitting on the ball.
A feat I would no longer attempt at this age,
a chair is much more reliable!

Flower planting day, much needed stress reliever after
new work computer training!  I might have bought a few extra
for continued stress relief this summer, ha!

He might not tell you, but this 12 year old always helps me plant flowers.
Not sure how that will go in the future, he isn't as diligent about watering them!

We replaced the wood siding this year and now I don't want to hang
my address sign, haha.  I'll get there!

Joe - Washington Nationals Baseball

We interrupt this blogger's time to post for...
baseball season.
Joe has had a great season this year so far.
He loves the game and enjoys playing with some older friends.

Blake Noah and Graham have been regular attenders at Drew and Joe's games.
This boy is going to love him so ball!

This poppped up on Facebook, the last time he wore navy blue baseball shirts!

Love regular league season because the boys get to play
a lot of different positions.

Joe has also pitched several games this year.  Mostly the closer.
He has done very well and stayed very consistent.

He has been working on pitching from the wind up
and less from the stretch.  Mama had to watch to figure out
what they were talking about here, ha!

Cousin Drew is on our team and Uncle Chiggie is the coach.
Drew has hit several home runs, this one was with a wooden bat.

Joe's hitting has come around this year too.  He's had several doubles
and a triple last week.  Noah and Chiggie told him it was a single and error on E9 and not a triple.
He wasn't having it.

 Another night, another homer!

Grandma and Grandpa, Scott Chris Cole Morgan and Peggy and Polly
have all made it to ballgames to watch the boys!

Sam takes all of his alone time with Graham to remind him that
he is the favorite.

Joe looked small next to Isaac who's stretched up a lot this year.

We have a few more regular season games, then we gear up for Loogootee 10U All stars!

Off to See the Wizard

At the end of April, I went with those crazy co-workers of mine
to see the Wizard of Oz on Broadway!

We met at worked on a Friday night at close and headed south for
a 7:30 Evansville time start (that time difference saved us for once, ha).
Most of us hadn't been to a Broadway production before, and I had not since Butler-
I was taking in the sites.
The regulars talking to the ticket takers.
The old and the young alike.
Those dressed fancy and those dressed casual.
The Box Office.
The selfie station, we took advantage of that.
The snacks - some of us discovered that they were higher than the regular movies.
Our elevator ride up to the Balcony.
Careful not to look over the edge, eeks.
Second row Balcony was still pretty far from the stage.
Fun laughs with coworkers during intermission
{possibly about the row of Southern Baptist Church Women
behind us that belted out every.single.song - insert winky face}
The costumes of stage - people that were flowers that bloomed then danced.
Little Toto
And then
Trying to find a place to grab a bite to eat at the late hour...
Ended at Chicago Pizza
where we had a sweet waitress but medicore food, boo.
Fun Laughs on the way home!
and
A VERY late night  - this mama ain't seen 2am in a VERY LONG time.
