A Day in Madison

We arrived early for the Stoll Family Reunion at Clifty Falls State Park
so we headed into Madison and spent the day.

We ate at the downtowner enjoyed some simple sandwiches
and then headed next door to the used book store.
There were 2 store cats that the boys found charming.
So did I really.

And we found this in the basement of the nature store next door.  Sam thought it was a little spooky, but it was really neat and we threw our coins in the wishing fountain at the end.

The boys (all three of them, lets face it) were not into the quaint store shopping.
Shock. So we loaded up and went for a drive across the Ohio River
into

We travelled to the top of the hill and found a little area where we could
see back down into Madison. It was very pretty

We headed over to the hotel and checked in.
We just have an hour or so until the family started to arrive
so we enjoyed the indoor pool

And the view from the back of the Clifty Falls Inn, breathtaking.

Summer Afternoon with Friends!

After IU camp on Monday, we kept all the kids
and Blake brought her crew too (Jaelyn, Isabelle and Joe)
and our group was complete and ready for FUN.
We stopped at Steak and Shake for lunch.
Had a lot of fun hearing their conversations.

It was raining when I left Bton, but I was happy to see sunshine and rain free skies when we got home
so that we could spend the afternoon outdoors.

Oh my if I could have bottled up the giggles and laughs while we piled in for this picture.
Memories I won't forget, especially when this slide of healthy children began to cave.
Oh, my it was so worth it...and it popped right back into place.
The cardboard at the bottom was to save muddy feet from going back into the pool!

And we enjoyed some late afternoon snacks, basketball style with some
funfetti cookies made by Blake, Jaelyn, Isabelle and Joe while the others were at camp

We were missing a couple of Sam's classmates, hope they can make next one.
It was a lot of fun though!

More Hoosier Fun!

IU camp has sent this kid back out to the driveway to practice his moves.
Last night he was working on rebounds and putting it back up to the basket strong.
He was practicing because his team was versing (that is what he always says) Isaac's team.
He thought for sure they must win!  We talked that over a bit, ha!

We splurged on candy stripes and they were big hit

DH got to take his boy to camp today and was it ever worth it.
He LOVED it.

Snapped a few pictures for me to see their day.
Love them.

Another Autograph session after the camp allowed the boys to get some signatures
on their banners.  Joe go this pic with Jordan Huls

Hoosier Fans at Assembly hall!
Love the time DH invests into his boys.  Love that.
