We arrived early for the Stoll Family Reunion at Clifty Falls State Park
so we headed into Madison and spent the day.
We ate at the downtowner enjoyed some simple sandwiches
and then headed next door to the used book store.
There were 2 store cats that the boys found charming.
So did I really.
And we found this in the basement of the nature store next door. Sam thought it was a little spooky, but it was really neat and we threw our coins in the wishing fountain at the end.
The boys (all three of them, lets face it) were not into the quaint store shopping.

We travelled to the top of the hill and found a little area where we could
see back down into Madison. It was very pretty
We headed over to the hotel and checked in.
We just have an hour or so until the family started to arrive
so we enjoyed the indoor pool
And the view from the back of the Clifty Falls Inn, breathtaking.
