Even though you are growing up, you can be sure that...
Grandma will be first in line to make your cake

Sam,
It is a complete joy to celebrate your 5th birthday with you. You have asked all year long, while others got their turn for a party, when it would finally be your turn. It is such a long wait for a day that you cherish so much. You don't usually enjoy being the center of attention, but your birthday is a different story.
We talked the other day about being 5.
Mama: Sam, what do you think five will be like?
Sam: It's my birfday, I get a cake, I will blow out candles, mom will decorate, I will be with Isaac (he is 5 already), Go to big school, paint, ride bus, and eat ice cream.
Yes, Sam that is what five is all about!
I went to snuggle with Sam in bed this morning a few extra minutes because this day next year, my big man will be back to school and those extra snuggle times will be behind us.
