Summer in Swing

June was ready when we got back from vacation!
It was time to help grandma pick strawberries!
She had a great patch this year.

Aren't they beautiful? And so VERY sweet. Best ever.

And I'll pretend I am watching my pool boy.
Truth is I'm pulling weeds and operating the on/off of the pump during
the spring cleaning - not pleasant. Think lots of earth worms. Ugh.

Thank goodness for cousins who are willing to do the first swim/stir up
of the pool the help get it going for the year.
It's cold and still not crispy clean, but Drew and Jaelyn are up for the challenge!

This guy caused a ruckus at our house.
It's a tough one to blog, but let's just say I was out reading on the back patio
minding my own business when DH decided to take care of this guy since
he was eating everything garden plant and flower we owned...it resulted in a very loud a terrifying gunshot followed by a huge belly laugh from DH.  The mayham stirred the boys and Sam
had to skin the rabbit and get an anatomy lesson and then grandma cooked it for them and they loved it.  Can you tell we are from the country?  Insert that monkey with his hands over his eyes emoji here.

The boys have helped on the farm. Biggest project this year
is a new fence for beef cattle.  I love getting these updates
while I'm working.  I know farm work is so very good for the boys.
They have a love/hate relationship with it.
They seem to dislike the thought of it, but always love to tell about it and their accomplishments.

There has been time to create homemade pizza

More swims with cousins, don't get me wrong the majority of this summer
has been dodging the storms and too much rain.

Blessed with another batch!

Most morning this is the window ready for the summer day!
Aunt Polly has helped get the boys to and from tennis, there has been baseball, basketball
and golf as well!

And then there was this grainy glimpse one night that I caught of this teen.
He looked so mature scooping his ice cream.
Blessed to get a front row seat with these two boys, praying we are getting a portion
of this raising teens thing right!  What a great challenge we have been given, so thankful
to rely on our faith thru it all.
