North West Adventure || Travel To

Finally getting to blog about our memorable trip to the North West at the end of July.
It was beautiful and relaxing but invigorating at the same time.
Great conversations and wonderful memories made with our friends, The Riedesel family.
PS, I might have taken A LOT of photos and so did Nicole.
You might get tired of posts from this trip, but no apologies here, we LOVE looking back on the memories!

We flew Alaska and wanted to avoid the checked baggage fee.  These sets were on Amazon for $28 and the fee was $25 one way - no brainier if you asked me.
They help up well for our travel and have been on another weekend trip since!
In full disclaimer, Dan and I stole some room from the boys suitcase for our shoes.
We each only took 2 pairs (tennis shoes and water shoes, well maybe I took 3 flip flops) but I'll tell ya shoes take up some room!  We needed pants and short options for everyone due to weather and jackets went in our smaller carry ons.  We made it work and used every thing we brought!

We picked up Joe from camp and headed North to our flight since it was on our way.
We got to the airport early and started vacation in style eating at Harry and Izzy's.

Ready to take off, it had been since our last trip out West that we flew and Joe
had some acute nerve issues, bless his heart.  As soon as we lifted off he was better, ha!

Almost there, 3 hours time change meant we arrived pretty late, our time.
We drove North 30 min to avoid AM traffic and higher hotel fees.
It worked great because we were all pretty keyed up.

Can you tell? Pillow fight.

Got and good nights sleep and woke up early to head North
found a Starbucks for me - when in Seattle do as they do right?
Well, the line at the other coffee shop nearby was longer but whatev~

Views of Mt Baker nearly the whole drive North.
So scenic.
