North West Adventure || Mount Constitution, Orcas Island

To prove we packed our days full, here's a pic of Sam sleeping
on our drive over to see Mount Constitution.
This was the same afternoon that he and I were up at 5am to go fishing.

Mount Constitution is the highest point on the San Juan Islands,
and the winding climbing road and hike to the tip top was very worth it.

It offered breathtaking views.
Did you know there were lakes on islands?
I'm not sure why I hadn't ever thought of it - fresh or salt water? Fresh.
See the things you learn when you travel!>!

The larger lake to the right is called Mountain Lake.
We stayed here looking for a while. I could have stayed longer.
We watched giant barges move about.

It was bit hazy but we were still able to see Mt Baker

Mount Constitution.
It was constructed in 1936 as an observation tower and it offers amazing views.
