2017 Soccer Underway

I was thrilled to be off work for Joe's soccer season opener.
We have had a very warm September and it has also been dry so he has played all his scheduled matches.  He LOVES goalie and does great that position.
Look at that form.  He does very good at getting the ball back in play
after he picks it up at goalie, that quick turn around has
done great in helping score goals on the other end.

Love this action shot

He had enjoyed moving up a league this year.  He plays with some 8th graders and loves the competition.  Fierce little goalie!

LMS Tennis Wrap UP

We spent great times at the tennis court throughout the rest of  September.  He was able to play doubles with his friend Reis in Jasper.  It was kinda rough because it was their first time playing together, they played together again another time and won easily!

Some Saturdays (when there wasn't work) we split our time - no better way to spend the day.

Our nephew Drew also plays tennis, so we get to see him excel as well.

They finished up the season with a great win/loss record.
We broke the strings on our tennis racquet the second to last match
and our tennis shoes were given a run for the money...
I love the skills gained, the confidence and the knowledge about a whole other sport!
Looking forward to more tennis in the future.

Martin Co. Rocks

A few weeks ago our little town joined a movement where painted rocks are placed around to brighten the city!  We love getting rocks at WB, they brighten our day for sure.
Our friend Renaee got us started with some rocks and paints she gathered on her lunch and Joe was ready to go!

We also snuck in painting our birdhouse that he and Grandpa built
around his 10th birthday.

And then the rest of September happened and farming
and soccer and tennis and spell bowl and work and church
and these lovelies sat in the basement until YESTERDAY!
Joe and I went to the LHS chorus concert while Dan and Sam played a round of golf
and after the concert we placed some rocks to spread some cheer!

This cracks me up - he tricked his favorite secretary, Kerry with a St Louis Cards rock
(he loves to tease her about her Reds)

And a little love for Blake and Noah
And cousins Ella and Ryder
Lion pride for Cousins Jaelyn and Drew - we got his friend Evan and Scott and Chris
and the town hall too.  We had a lot of fun with him sneaking in the rocks.
People can take those rocks and rehide them elsewhere, neat little activity!
