Bonus Day with Quinn (and Graham)

I was off Friday July 5th and Blake was off at noon,
Noah booked a golf tee time for he and Sam.
They had fun golfing together!
Blake, Joe, Graham, Quinn and I enjoyed leftover lunch and pool time.

And I didn't take a ton of pics, in fact it looks like I took them all of Quinn!

This sweetie turned 6 months old!!!  I was happy to spend her 1/2 birthday with her.

She catnapped hard then was ready to float around the pool.

There's our cookie napper - Joe and I made batch and they were very popular!

Joe snapped this pic, her rolls are irresistible!
Short of pics from this day, kids in hand most of the time, but not on memories!

Fireworks and Tents

We finished out 4th of July with impromptu camping in the backyard.

Joe was SO EXCITED and he worked hard setting it up (and tearing down in a hurry when we heard thunder the next afternoon, ha)

We had to call in a bit of reinforcement from pops when the tent wouldn't stand, but
we sat down to admire our hard work (after we sprayed with buggins, ha)

We also smoked the bugs out with our popits and sparklers.
Sam didn't think he wanted to do fireworks, well maybe just one.
Several later, he was totally into it.

Those darn popits - Blake stepped on one the next day and popped it -she laughed I don't care for them. ha!

We tried to capture this backwards, but alas had to settle for this Joe!

Never too old for sparklers, they make me much less nervous at this age, ha.
I'm that mom.  I've never said no, just had my stomach in knots by the end!
Joe and I settled in and as we tried to go to sleep I laid there wondering if I was hearing summer thunder or fireworks, ha!  We stayed dry all night and actually slept very well!

I was awake for a bit and had to rouse this sleepy head after 8

He came in and at breakfast and headed back out to read.

We left it up long enough for Graham see the next day.
Very fun memories.

Classic 4th of July swim!

We enjoyed a pretty classic 4th of July cookout!
There were no preparations just a morning text, but the weather aligned
and we grilled some burgers and hot dogs and other brought sides.

Even papaw (Scott) swam, Graham loved that.
He jumped in a scared Joe and Sam half to death, big laughs from that!

This big guy was pretty chill, he relaxed the afternoon away.

Quinn loves relaxing in the water.

I can hardly handle her scrumptiousness!

Look at his big shorts, so well dressed!

Walker got to swim!!!

Joe was excited.

The Walker Grands!

And if anyone can talk this boy into something it is my brothers.
They bet him that he couldn't get into this car, he took the bait.

Seriously the only one with concern was Graham, the rest of us were dying with laughter.

4th of July well spent.
