He is Risen Indeed ♥️

It was a beutiful day for Easter 2021.
The pandemic made us miss the celebrations Easter 2020.
Oh, we still celebrated our risen savior both years, but
it was fun to be together with family.

We went to church together at Berea

Glimpse of Spring

We invited family over at the first sight of spring.  When the weather gets warmer and days seem longer, everyone's mood is just a little bit brighter!  Loved having everyone together.

Walker and Quinn are quite the pair, Quinn is older by about 5 months and they can encourge each other to get into anything!

Spring Break 2021

A trip to the condo simply does not disappoint.
A little escape from all the restrictions of everyday life in COVID times
was just what our family needed!

The weather was cooler than other trips we have taken - sweatshirts and shorts were perfect for parts of the day.  The sun was warm and it felt pretty nice!

Joe and I discovered we loved walks out on the pier.  He walked the pier a couple times on his own.  Its a fishing pier for certain - we saw coolers, fish, poles, chairs, leurs and fish guts too eeks

Christmas Eve

Reflecting on our Christmas eve brings me a lot of joy.
We had a really great family day.
It was a start of a new season having Christmas eve off.
We also didn't have plan at all this day since our traditional Walker family gathering was
moved this year.

Boys wanted to make gingerbread houses and each picked out a kit.  This was
and epic creation.  We spent a good LONG while creating.

Joe had a mini breakdown and dad had to come to the rescue (of the house and the attitude both) tee hee

We were having so much fun that we got some regular cardboard and supplies from the cabinet and made our own creative creations.  Obviously, I would choose a beach theme!

It came with an epic mess.

We ended up at Will and Jill's for Christmas eve even though we had already gathered for our official time together.  Sam created a craps table (hand drawn) during COVID so we took it and boys had fun learning the rules.

Jaelyn’s Senior Night 🦁 🏀

Celebrating our senior and her teammates.
It simply won't be the same without her.

I won't forget how she looked when she took and drained those baskets.
I won't forget when she played tough defense on every play.
I won't forget how she came off the bench ready to play an important relief for those 5 starters.
I won't forget how she showed up for every practice, every game, every time
despite her many commitments.
I won't forget how she did all of this with grace.
I won't forget how she game attention to the younger players watching and direction to teammates.
I won't forget how proud I was when I would get a notification of her completing devotional plan LATE at night often after she had gone to college class at 7am, school all day, practice or game after school everyday, homework that night and closing her night out with time for God.
I won't forget, but in case I do.

More Basketball 🏀

We spend a lot of our winter in a gym.
It's a good, good place to be,
if you are a basketball fan.
That's me!

Between, our niece's senior season, Sam's freshman season, Drew's freshman season, Joe's 7th grade season and even Shaylee's 5th grade season  ---- we had some basketball games to see!

Love this niece of mine - her hustle, desire and ability and this amazing team of hers.
ALWAYS fun to watch.  We caught as many games as we could - sometimes the tail end switching gyms after a game of one of the boys! That is until attendance was restricted due to COVID surges.

Joe and his team had a really great 7th grade season.  His team has also become
fun to watch.  This year they really played together well as a team - fun to see them improve.

Joe found a way to make some long range shots this year.  One game he was 5/7 from 3 point range!

A picture in a picture... several times this year due to COVID we were able to be at one gym
and view a game at another gym - watching Jaelyn above while
at Joe's game!

Attendance was limited  mid year due to COVID - man was it tough to see
such slim crowds at these highly attended and cherished games!   We were fortunate to be able to see JV/Varsity this year due to Sam being on Freshmen team and dressing JV some as well!
