Graham visits Graber Hill

Graham got to have his day at Graber Hill.
It was much anticipated, mostly by the Graber's because you can't
tell a 2 year old about something exciting if you don't know when it is going to work out!

I picked him up after lunch and he was ready with his digger shirt and boots.
Quinn was NOT impressed that she did not get to come along.
Theo was all smiles, he did not care as much!

Look at that preciousness.
Sitting in a pile of run over corn (oops) playing with his dump truck.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1IDYIQaeMzA2B7hlUQURxlRFCf8G0wQeZ
We called Shannon and Shaylee and they showed their chickens.
He liked the chickens and scooped up 2 eggs to take home.
He kept saying, cant "queeze" 'em.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1eRx1g2rnIN-LI8Yz2CaaHiyu45wODbGj
He asked about the rooter.
But the rooster isn't very nice so we couldn't get close.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1E1lek6WTHphbTSLJWEBkc0tIHVkHdDh9
And we visited Dryce's rabbits.  Oh my there are a lot of them.
They are so soft.
He petted one, then it was onto the cows.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=10SJ2C8gQI6FWh1t9wAH-4yW_XeSLjxpN
He could have watched the cows a long time.
But, turned his attention to Joe who was climbing the grain bin.
He told Joe to get down!

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1XL6rdcIrT8aMrCvyIvlEM3n6JCPmzlHu
And finally he got to sit on his tractor.  He touched all the levers and smiled a lot.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1bMOvKsOIxuUlvinSF5jghZ8tNsgezmqU
He found a pile of corn dust to play in and brought home a box of corn,
for outside only. Tee Hee
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1bSPl3VqzOc3kikmryiLi2e2yNXBGzhGz
And got a small tractor (lawn mower) ride from Shaylee back to the van.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1PQTvdkza9DeBfmqiO7944MWJHYK9m5uj
And then we finally found Danny in the big truck, he was happy about his
semi ride hauling grain next door back to the farm.
That smile thru the window, he's a mix of his daddy and mom.
But, when he smiles like that I see my brother as a baby all over again!
My momma would have loved that!

No trip to the farm would be complete without a farm snack.
Drinks from the garage fridge and chips from Co-Op did the trick!
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1BRAYv1hkdmckI3FowI_6zvG05pUGn0rj
Joe and Graham crossed the field to get their combine ride from Papaw Donnie.
Look at those trees.
I was rewarded for this trip, too.
Views, Smiles from everyone - something about a young one enjoying the magic of the farm.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1n_W95BySOWdd_62KPTfLx44kUl5pkaP0
Joe said he rode here a long time.
On the floor of the combine, close to the action as it harvest the corn...until
he ran out of steam and crawled into Joe's lap and snuggled in for
a  quick nap.
The combine is famous for that!

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=13pANO0L7rIVVtB9OVMDzJeFt8TVG_Z9j
And then it was back out to watch the corn be unloaded into the semi again
for another trip to the farm grain bins.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1JgPivkIUzEl7BMD63CY7lMNq91qyc10j
A little more playing in the corn before we headed home.

And Graham wasn't done, I go to yee house.
Sure, that is what  fall break is for..
and little sis came along this trip.

These cousins bring us so much Joy.
She sure is full of love.

Farm Fancy

On our Graber Hill trip,
I noticed that the Kenworth semi was practically sporting
Vanity Plates.

Looks like the word FANCY to me!
So the ol Kenworth got a new name.

FARM FANCY she is!

I spotted my farmer talking the the Co-Op gas man, who just happens
to be my nephew Cole's wife's dad.
It's a small town you know!
He makes several trips to the farm (and others) during farm
season bringing gas to keep the combines and big rigs running!

I thought it might look like tropical paradise.
But, 2020
and
covid
and
a new job.
It looked much like any other ordinary day.
(complete with a broken string on a face mask)
But, we are thankful for the ordinary days.
One day we will look back and realize they were not so ordinary at all.

So, seeing an A on a quiz was something to celebrate.

to make it there in 1 class in particular.

We had a nerve wracking weekend with this guy.
We had a  regular well visit with the MD and as he was listening
to Sam's heart, I became concerned.  Dr. Ruff asked me if
he had always had a murmur.
Nope.
*Mom Alert*
Dr. Ruff wasn't sure, he said it could be just from Sam having started weights/working out
more this year but he wanted to be sure.
So, he was scheduled for an EKG.  We were able to fit it in the next day,
thankfully able to swing that with my new job, yay!
He was anxious about the test and asked if we could get Little Ceasers after on the way home.
The pictures were for Dad so he know Sam was doing ok after the test.
We waited the weekend and God must have had me distracted on purpose.
While I prayed all weekend, Monday came and I forgot to call!
I called Tuesday and the test came back all clear.
Thankful to God for Sam's health!

The song Evidence by Josh Baldwin has been on repeat around our house this fall.
It is such a timely reminder of God's provisions and faithfulness in our life.

to watch a lot of his home matches.
He earned a spot on varsity playing 2 doubles.
His team won sectional this year!
We also watched him play regional at Jasper!

Joe and I spent a Saturday around the counties.
I did some home flu shots for favorite customers of mine, can't let them go yet!
And took the country route to Jasper to get a compound cream for Joe,
stopped and got pumpkins.
It was so nice when we got home, I talked Joe into a driveway walk.
