Walk 43A

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom. Psalm 51:6

I am still on a cloud from this most recent Walk to Emmaus experience.  I am a little older with a few more life experiences since my last time attending and working.  We as team members and pilgrims were asked to be transparent.  This could not have been a better blessing.  I will share more as my mind appreciates all that I experienced!

Won't you Be My Love...

When you fall asleep tonight

In your warm and cozy room

Know that I'm awake

And I've got no shelter and no food

Pre-Chorus 1:

I am not alone

My friends are broke and lost

Looking for someone to lead them to my cross

I need your help, I need your help

Chorus 1:

Won't you be My voice calling

Won't you be My hands healing

Won't you be My feet walking into a broken world

Won't you be My chain-breaker

Won't you be My peacemaker

Won't you be My hope and joy

Won't you be My Love

Verse 2:

The other side of the world

She is just a few days old

A helpless little girl

With no family of her own

Pre-Chorus 2:

She is not to blame for the journey she is on

Her life is no mistake

Won't you lead her to My cross?

Chorus 1:

Won't you be My voice calling

Won't you be My hands healing

Won't you be My feet walking into a broken world

Won't you be My chain-breaker

Won't you be My peacemaker

Won't you be My hope and joy

Won't you be My Love

Bridge:

To those I call My own

To those I've set aside

As spotless without blame

The chosen ones My bride

Chorus 2:

We will be Your voice calling

We will be Your hands healing

We will be Your feet walking into a broken world

We will be Your chain-breaker

We will be Your peacemaker

We will be Your hope and joy

We will be Your love

I am honered to be serving on a Walk to Emmaus weekend for the next few days.  It is a humbling expericence to serve God and to see his plan unfold.  This song has been an inspiration to me as I have prepared to give a talk to these special women.  I hope to return and report overflowing love on Sunday.  I pray that I will be useful in the way God has planned for me as a part of Walk 43A.
Thanks Toni for the CD for my birthday, it arrived in perfect timing, from the 1st time I heard this song, I knew it would be a part of my talk!

11 years together!

We celebrated 11 years together this month.
God has been good to us, blessed us over those 11 years.
Our most bountiful blessings are running active 4 and 5 year old boys.  Love them!
To celebrate and keep on kindling those 11 years we went on a little trip,
just DH and I.
It was spur of the moment, I don't want to forget that.
We decided Friday and left Tuesday.
The condo was available, calling our names for sure!
We wanted to take the boys,
but didn't want to pull Sam from school this soon.
They stayed for sleepovers with grandma and grandpa, hope they want to come home tonight!
We drove thru the night after work on
Tuesday and enjoyed Wed, Thurs and Friday with sand between our toes!
We ate at familiar places and new places, we enjoyed familiar beaches and pools.
We missed the boys.  Did I mention we missed the boys?
But we oh so enjoyed the time away, and look forward to our reunion later today.
Off to switch drivers, my turn...boo.

Preschool Butterlies!

We had fun making these butterfly snacks that have been floating around
in blogland!  they were perfect for little helping hands.

We gathered our supplies
including the fuzzy (yes the picture is too ha) pipe cleaners...

And I gathered those sweet helping hands
for a creative free wheeling project that was
right up their alley

Our created masterpieces
paired with a pipecleaner snippet and
a snack size bag of snacks!

Sam's favorite

Joe's favorite

And topped off with sweet preschool smiles!

Preschool Snacks

Today we took preschool snacks to celebrate Joe's 4th birthday.
We explained to the class that Joe had his birthday during the summer...
but I don' think they really care, they were just ready for a party!
He sat in the special chair while they sang Happy Birthday!

As I arrived I realized their letter for the week is "C"
During the very hungry Catepiller story...which could not have been better since we took
BUTTERFLIES for his treat!

Best buddies Joe and Koen

The treats were so fun to make, had plenty of help from my boys!

Our Awesome Grandparents

Somewhere in transfer from the smartphone to blogger we ended up with read only files that won't let me rotate... but we had a great day with our grandparents and we wanted to remember forever!
Happy Grandparents Day Mamaw and Papaw!

2,976 ballons

2,976 balloons
were released today in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11.
We went to the memorial service at West Boggs Park.

Listening to the bagpipes play
Watching the flag fly at half staff
Hearing the sharp ring of the gun shots
Seeing the salute of the guard
Feeling the beautiful breeze and warm sunshine
and Anticipating the release of the balloons

The sight of those ballons as they traveled up and away
mostly in a pack with a few strays was a powerful image.
What a great tribute to those fallen americans on 9/11.
So thankful for those who have faught for our continued freedom.

Campfire Night!

This cool weather has me thinking campfires!
So I called DH and planted the idea in his head.
I was soooo excited when I got home from work and he and boys
were gathering campfire supplies out in our backyard!
We had baked ham and cheese and potato chips that were easily transported
out by the fire...and left room for the very important SMORES!
It was indeed a perfect night for a fire, and we had some very happy little boys.

Preschool Days Again!

Joe's first day of preschool went great.
He loved it.
Looked forward to it and then sailed right thru!

He posed himself for the backpack shot,
evidently he has seen this done a few times...

Joe,
You are my tiny but mighty man.
You are brave
You are smart
and
I know you will do great things.

Love,
Mama

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Labor Day Doins'

Jackets?  Yes jackets!
Yes, we swam yesterday (comfortably) and we wore our jackets today (comfortably).
Yeah for Indiana weather!
It really cooled off overnight last night, so we met our friends at the park

We had a lot of fun on the swings, the daddies were there to push the kids high
Higher than the mommies thought was necessary!

We had a yummy picnic lunch, played a little more then we packed up to head home with chilly fingers and toes!

We went to see Blake back off to college.
Mama went to get some groceries and when she came
home her boys were missing, found all 3 of them in the hot tub...
good day for that!
Boys took a quick nap
and then
we headed to Aunt Judy and Uncle Ed's for a Graber cookout.
The boys were way to busy for pictures here, but we had a great time!
