2017 Great Solar Eclipse

The US was "all a buzz" about the upcoming solar eclipse on Aug 21.
Our area was in about 70% totality so we would definitely be able to see it.
The schools had plans on how the kids would view it either with safety glasses or on the chrome book if they were too young.  We also had to sign releases for them to leave on time for eye safety.

It happened to fall on my day off, and I had lunch with DH and we used our glasses from the Smithsonian Air/Science Museum.  It was pretty cool
I was able to pick up the boys
and this middle schooler was acting crazy with his glasses.
Sam's class, he is right behind the teacher.
There was still time for the elementary kid to see the eclipse
when we got home.

We had a test to study for and dinner to prepare so we multi-tasked.
Sam peeled potatoes while I quizzed him, ha!
DH has been working on this stump by oil/burn method
and Joe was right by his side.

Jones Fest || Sunflower Bouquets

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of wedding preparation,
I headed to the farm to gather some fresh sunflowers from SIL  Shannon's garden.
We knew they would be the perfect finishing touch.
On the way {Friday AM} out after taking the boys to school I came upon this buggy of kids
on their way to school.  Just a good reminder to slow down the pace and enjoy the days ahead!
Sunflowers are some of Morgan's favorite and these did not disappoint!
I ran upon this handsome farmer, he helped me gather!

And I was able to assemble these gorgeous flower bouquets
for the appetizer and cupcake tables.
They colors were rich and perfect for the day.

And finally clipping the bride and groom a perfect bloom.

Jones Fest || Beautiful Pictures

And to share some of the beautiful details of the day
through the professional lens!
