Back 2 Back Semi State champs

Gosh these tourney runs are so much fun.  Regular work week and practice schedules -all gearing up for the tournament. The community pitches in the feed to girls after practice and before/after games.

I got my turn headed into the Jasper day game for Semistate.  They ate on the bus on the way to the game prepping for a long day!  It need to be light and portable.  

I went with sandwich rollups and fruit kabobs.

These guys!  Best of friends.  Best part of this was watching Sam wait on Reis as he came down the stairs with crutches (after surgery).

Back 2 Back Regional champs

It is fun to look back on Jaelyn's senior year and the fun she and her classmates provided for our community!  Remembering some tidbits as I look back about her senior season were masks, limited fans until the tourney run,  and watching the girls contiue to make memories in their final season.

Regional was at Spring Valley in 2021, the home of Larry Bird. 

Lions were the favorites but Techmseh is alway a tough opponent.

Graber Christmas 2021

The Graber Christmas always involves some sort of card game.  This year it was 7 up, I believe.

We've played this game a lot this year - and there are different rules you can play by so we've tried a several of them.  It's a competitive bunch.

And then we recreated this photo from our first Christmas with Tyson and Shaylee.

Goodness that seems like it was just yesterday.  

Grandma and Grandpa's grands fill up their couch now!  

And this guy.

Thankful for reminders about what things bless us about this guy.  

He has his drivers permit. 

He was ready and tackled the test and has been driving when he 

wants to ever since.  He was never nervous, love that.  

He hugs slightly different than most.  Joe craves the attention and seems 

to roll with it (most of the time). 

He loves board games and card games.  He's good at Risk and Catan. 

He surprises me, love this picture with his friend Isaac and my friend (his teacher) Goody.

Love getting glimpses of his personality.  

Breakfast and Remote Learning from bed - he managed his own schedule.

He has a loyal group of friends. And I looked over and watched him wait on Reis who was coming down the stairs on crutches.  Love that. 

He worked hard as a member of the LHS basketball team.  

Thank you God for the reminders that this teen we are raising is a fine young man. 

A humbling honor.

 I am certain I did not deserve this post, but am certain that it brought me much joy!  I appreciate the kind words and am thankful God has blessed me with a community of people I love!

Jaelyn’s Senior Night 🦁 🏀

Celebrating our senior and her teammates.  

It simply won't be the same without her.

I won't forget how she looked when she took and drained those baskets.

I won't forget when she played tough defense on every play.

I won't forget how she came off the bench ready to play an important relief for those 5 starters.

I won't forget how she showed up for every practice, every game, every time 

despite her many commitments.  

I won't forget how she did all of this with grace.

I won't forget how she game attention to the younger players watching and direction to teammates.

I won't forget how proud I was when I would get a notification of her completing devotional plan LATE at night often after she had gone to college class at 7am, school all day, practice or game after school everyday, homework that night and closing her night out with time for God.  

I won't forget, but in case I do.
