Indy Weekend Away!

Our annual weekend away for WB is in the books!
We look forward to this weekend from year to year...
some years it is a bit easier to escape.
It certainly depends on the family's activity calendar, it is much harder to leave when
we are missing many activities of our kiddos! This year, tho, no games to miss!

Dan and I enjoyed dinner Friday night at Morton's Steakhouse as a part of
Devor Indy - discount night for fancy restaurants!

We loved our meal I especially enjoyed the lobster and steak
and the largest asparagus we have ever seen!

And my first ever Creme Brulee  - yum!  Dan's cake was tasty too!

We enjoyed our night out in Downtown Indy

Saturday was a full day of meetings  - it was a great meeting and I am looking forward
to 2018.  I continue to be thankful for working for WB.

And then a special dinner with fellow WB manager at the Conrad
downtown.  The meal was good this year, enjoyed our dinner company as well,
we had a lot of laughs at our table!

Undefeated Season 16-0!

All the heart eyes for this group of boys.
They have given their parents a lot to be proud of...
including an undefeated basketball season this year!
When I look a this picture I see a son, a nephew, friend's sons and a group of loyal friends for Sam.
They have been friends since preschool and they had something to celebrate last night!
Since 4th grade when they played up on the 5th grade team they have recorded 51 wins and 2 losses!
This year they had an undefeated season 16-0.
We have a few tournaments to go this year and we will meet more tough games,
but for now we celebrate!

A few pics from a game against Washington Hatchets at JFK gym.

Snow DayZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I noted that we had a bunch of snow days
that turned in snow dayzzzzzzzzzzzzz
because...
mom and dad were sickos but still managed to work some of the days
it was super cold so playing outdoors was minimal
but...
we did make the most of it!

We cooked more meals and washed more dishes than ever...
making memories that will make them remember home!

DH, Grandpa and cousin Cameron were in our garage wiring lighting one afternoon
so we baked cookies and made some sweet tea for them to enjoy.
Joe suited up and took them out to them!

We cleaned out our memory closet and did some organizing.
I sent this to Blake so she would cherish these days with her tiny babe.
Joe was wearing this sweater on our Together Forever Day (he was 13 months old, teeny guy)

Sam is a pro at our fruit salad we eat a lot at our house.
Taught Joe the ropes tonight - we use a mixed fruit can (juice only) and add
some of the fresh fruit we have in the house - use this as our side item a lot of nights!

And the next morning Sam made Biscuits and Gravy.  He has a lot of patience in the kitchen!

We tackled bible memory verses. 16 verses memorized and recited to our coordinators!
Half way to earning our way to camp this summer.

The smoothie makes me laugh as I was sickly with a severe cold and I had packed it with ACV
and vitamins, lemon juice and it tasted so good.
The next day I took the same combo to work and tried to recreate it - I must have been better with a few more taste buds...because it was awful!  Ha!
We found time to play some games.

And earn a little cash for clearing the sidewalks (front and back)

And more games.

Oh yeah, and there was this - you know the ONLY picture mom got of the boys sledding
adventure at the farm.
Don't worry, those sleds were not brand new.
