House Full - Hearts Full

This past weekend was a weekend with a couple things but no big plans, shhh.

We didn't speak of it because when we do it fills right up!

But, Sam asked to have friends over to spend the night and I left him in charge of inviting and arranging and he did pretty good! Drew and Leighton came over, I LOVE having a full house.  

On Sunday afternoon they played some competitive rounds of ping pong.

I am CERTAIN that DH enjoyed it as much as the boys.

Probably more. ha!

The night before Noah and Blake Graham and Quinn stayed over after we finished our crafts.

Loved having them here - 

Quinn snuggled here for a long while and Sunday night Dan was wishing she was right there

with him again!

Graham did not like the space ship in the basement, he backed away from it every time

we tried to get him to go in.

We fed them pizza, always a hit.  

House full - hearts full.

Joe's Winter Camp

One of Joe's favorite weekends has come and gone this winter!

He loves Bible Memory Winter Camp and this was his first year

at Simon J Graber building to spend the night. We packed up his stuff on Friday night and went over how to work the air mattress.  He otherwise takes care of himself and would be less likely to forget some thing then I would,so I was looking forward to the experience right along with him!

Only fear was potential bad weather with high winds, but God cleared that up and it did not get severe.

 DH dropped him off on Saturday morning, because it was a work weekend for me.  

We received these pictures from the camp group, treasures for certain.

Closing Prayer and I spy Joe's bible in the blue case on the bleachers.

And the best story comes from Joe...

he woke up around 2am but was confused and thought it was morning.

He let the air out of his mattress - tee hee.  His counselor told him it wasn't morning yet 

so he went back to sleep, ha! He had wonderful and blessed weekend.

Winter at Graber Hill

We had a unfortunate funeral viewing one afternoon before we picked up the kids.

It left us with a few minutes before they were done so we stopped by the see

the progress on the latest DIY farm project.

I love seeing their creations.

And I love DIY - they just do it on a much bigger scale!!!

They are adding and arm to the top of the excavator bucket

to make it grab large piles of things.

There is a name for that sort of thing.  A grapple.

See, there is something to learn everywhere.

We, ahem, talked all things about loads to be hauled to market.

Where to take them for the best price but with best place to haul.

Could they fit in some extra loads for neighbors - they custom haul their beans and corn

since they are Amish and cannot get them to market with their equipment.  

And weather cause there is manure to spread in prep for planting season,

but the ground has to be frozen to allow the equipment to move over it.

I enjoy all the stuff that lines the walls, stuff you save because it might be helpful

for a project in the future.

And then we have then welding cart. It speaks for itself. Tee Hee -

missing a tire it hops along to it's next job.  And they say it has been like this for years.
