Those Harvest Skies.

Dan was planning to run late one night,
so I ran him out a drink and sandwich.
I was rewarded for my trip.

It was the most beautiful sky. Dan's mom and had a funeral
and the field looked like a big boy playing farm.
Dan was running by himself in the combine and he had tractors
and wagons spread out in the field to unload into.
I chuckled a little, but hey it worked!

The neighbors were done with their combine ride.

Tennis Wrap Up 2020

Joe got his chance to play singles this year.
He loves tennis.
Says he likes singles the best.
He played 2 matches this night at ND.
He lost his first match and won his second.
We talked to him about how different his "attitude and demeanor" compared
in the two matches and how they affected the outcome.
Lots to learn for our 7th grader, but he sure puts out maximum effort!

Grandma came for the whole match.
Dad and Grandpa were also able to end farming early
to see Joe's last match of the year.
Grandpa only saw the match Joe won so he said Joe was really good!

Apple acres

Finding places to go Jeepin
has kept us busy this fall.
It's a good kinda busy tho, the kind you choose.
We can go far or near and make the trips short and sweet.

The boys asked for a trip to AppleAcres for Cherry milkshakes.
We headed over after church and grabbed a quick lunch then drove back past AppleAcres.
We got some other goodies (including apples) and then got 3 cherry shakes.
Dan didn't want one.
But, thankfully, I planned ahead and got the larger size - yep - he decided he liked it afterall!!
He kept saying, what is that taste, it is like nothing I've had before. Hmm, yeah I like it
we laughed at him.
This is a place the boys found with Blake and Noah!

We brought Grandma a bag of her favorite apples too
It was her birthday week!
Sam LOVES all things fruit - so we came home with apples and apple cider.
He was VERY pleased.

I had some really pretty dahlias that bloomed all summer long and they saved their
prettiest blooms for this fall.
I wish they were perennials.
