Florida Bound

We headed South for Florida but not until after our priorities of basketball games were met! We beat BR in 6th grade and PC in 8th grade and all was well in the world. Except Joe was a bit under the weather with either a stomach bug or nerves and we couldn’t get going from the gas station in Loogootee- poor guy. We made a couple more unplanned stops and he   finally slept it off. 

We ran into issues that routed us around Nashville and then sat in traffic and hour in Chattanooga so when we made it a couple hours south of Atlanta we stopped for the night. 

We woke up to a gloomy cold day and we were ahead of schedule ( forecast) so we stopped for some fresh squeezed OJ at the Florida Welcome Center not long after we took off!

6th grade band concert

Joe has his first band concert Dec 15 - we thoroughly enjoyed it! I was amazed that those sounds we here (occasionally) at home all came together into tunes we all knew. They played Jingle Bells and other songs- then we heard jr high and high school. Impressive groups - and look at that set. Our school is blessed with an awesome auditorium and. Set used by both band and chorus for their concerts!

Joe’s class also took gifts to the nursing home and the band played for the residents. They also decorated  their teacher’s ugly Christmas shirt. 

RoboLions at FLL state!

Did this robotics team ever have so much to be proud of?!? They made it to state! They had what it took after putting in all the hard work and extra hours! 

The parents were able to decorate the boys lockers 2 days before competition and they loved it! We wanted to make it special for them. 

State robotics falls in the absolute busiest season of the year- but we found time to pack up and prepare between work basketball and all the holiday gatherings. The schedule for the day is jam packed

Robot runs did not go exactly as planned - we still scored in the middle of the pack so respectable 

The best part was all of Joes family that came and grandma and grandpa watches the live feed from home (they came to regionals). Scott and Chris and Noah and Blake and kids came ❤️❤️❤️
