Old settlers

DH got his 75 Nova running again this summer.

We've missed it for a couple years, and we've discovered that we have also

"outgrown" it.  The front bucket seats are bolted down so the back seat is hard

to access - Sam is a little too tall to get back there anymore!  

DH drove with his dad and Joe thru the Old Settler's Parade in Odon.

It was looking very sharp after a good hand wash.

Sam also swept out the inside.

The food booths were busy and we waited 45 minutes for a fish.

Had we known it would be that long, I'm not sure we would have ordered.

But, it was VERY worth it.

It was  a gorgeous sunset and I had a munchkin hiding from

me in the backseat.

The first picture struck me.

I don't often hear that I look like my mom, but that smirk was her grin.

I'll have to find a pic of her sometime to compare.

He makes me laugh when he's being charming.

TG and IKEA

We spent the night and woke up to enjoy Top Golf!

This place is a staple for us.

We all enjoy it!

It was a gorgeous day and I was so happy to spend it with my guys.

Soaking up the last of these moments with them before they head

off to their Freshman and 7th grade years.

Love this crew, we had a fun day.

And finally on our 3rd time at the intersection of Top Golf and IKEA,

I got to IKEA!

DH said let's all go in, we will make it an experience.

DH in IKEA.

Yeah, it was an experience. 😉

Let's just say when we rounded this last corner and saw daylight again,

 we were all relieved.  We didn't buy a thing and DH kept saying,

I think they are keeping us confused.

I don't think they want us to know how to get out.

Tee hee, I kinda felt the same!

(Oh and yes, we found some Amish, even away from home)

And our surprise lillies snuck up on me again an were blooming when we got home.

I stinking LOVE these.  

I forget about them every year and then bam they bloom in all their beauty!

We had a great little overnight away from home.

This summer has been full of cancelled plans and less trips like this,

this one was cherished!

Letter to the White House - Take 2

Joe got serious about running for President again.

He's had a lot of time to think again this summer

he has his sites set on being and engineer and a lawyer

and eventually Presidency.

And with all the political events of 2020, we could use a reliable person in office.

But, he is not a natural born citizen of the US therefore he can not be a candidate.

He can run and hold any other office in the nation.

 But, he isn't one to stop one step short of a goal.

He also wrote a similar letter in 3rd grade, but I guess it was on his mind again.

He even had me send this to his teacher to have her proofread it.

Love his goals.  I'll be right here rooting and watching, mixed in

with a whole lot of prayer - I can't wait to watch you fly!
