Celebrating our Freedom

What a great 4th of July! We spent the morning getting ready to host the youth group for a day of swimming. I am sure daddy was out weed eating in this photo. He got a new toy and was enjoying it...ha, ha.

I had some big helpers getting things ready today.

And the partygoers' arrived ready to swim....despite the fact that it was pouring down rain. And every last one of them swam. In and out of the hot tub, and they had a great time.

We enjoyed some burgers and then lit a fire. Yes, swimming, rain, and a much needed fire in the same day?!?

Then it was off to the fire works at Washington park. They were really good this year. Long and very loud - fun time by all!

Sam thought the firecrackers were loud.

So did Joe, probably at Sam's suggestion.

Sam really liked them this year. Before they began he said we were waiting for the funcrackers. After a few had been let off, he proclaimed that one was a real graham cracker...that got a few chuckles.

Joe made a lot of oooohh's and aaahhh's. His eyes were so bright and mouth was wide open!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We are so blessed to live in the land of the free and home of the brave!

Just add Mala

Well, Guato was lonely so we added some Mala. Now we have Guato...Mala. They are very cute together. They are from the same litter and play very well together.

Sam loves his kitties. He says to me often, mama the kittes need you. So we go to pet and play with them and give them food and water. I have enjoyed teaching the boys about taking care of the kitties.

Oh this little Joe. His is forever making funny faces at us, I just happened to catch one. Do you see a litte stinker???

Precious

Fun in Lowes as we shopped for lights for our outdoor building. It is nearly done, almost time for pics...

These girls are so busy this summer. I work with Blake at Williams Bros. so she had already agreed to hang out at our house. I practically begged Morgan to come over and then Blake didn't want to come b/c Morg was coming...blah, blah, blah. I told them to call me back after Wed. night bible study with their decision. Hearts changed and they both came! We hung out at home Wednesday night and then went to Evansville on Thursday for Sam's dentist appt (a whole other post sometime) and a little shopping.
I love watching my nieces and nephews interact with their cousins. It is pure and complete love and joy. It is so fun to see their affection for each other. I treasure all the time we spend together.

More Summer Swimming

Fun was had by all last Sunday as the Grabers came to swim. It had been so hot all week that the pool water was in the 90's like a big hot tub. There was a breeze so it still felt good!
