Jr Beta 2020

Like a lot of things this year, Junior Beta looked very different this year.

But, this guy got his invitation to join Junior Beta this year and of course

we were proud.  I wonder if they knew he would look like this! Ha.

He joined the Robotics group and got to do a bit of Robotics this year

despite the First League competition being unavailable this year. 

I had fun with this creative group of geniuses, their minds are a bit amazing.  They seem to work

a little better than mine as well!

They developed a construction theme and recorded their entry for remote submission,

Contact Tracing 2020

It would only be fitting of 2020 if we documented all.the.things.

Joe had a few extra days around home due to contact tracing from a classmate/teammate.

Contract tracing wasn't a word that was in my vocabulary this time last year, along with some others in 2020, it became quite familiar. 

I have been remote working since before thanksgiving so having this guy around home

with me was little extra special.  He was forced to slow down a bit. He did well keeping up on his school work and has some time for his robot and new computer. He played some battleship with his dad.

And baked cookies while I worked (think we need to trash that couch, its going lol)

Letting me know that I wasn't welcome on that side of the screen, there was a zoom call on there!

Just my guy on his seat when he comes to visit me while I'm working.

I've been blessed to be at home more this year. I'm headed back into the office

a few days a week and home the others after the first of the year.  Reflecting back 

on the extra moments captured has me thankful.

Bowling with Jr Youth

We have been blessed by an amazing group of junior youth kids.

We have been able to meet together and even made a trip to our local bowling alley.

They are fierce competitors but they are also forming some important friendships.

I am thankful to get a little glimpse into the lives of these great kids.
