Joe had a few extra days around home due to contact tracing from a classmate/teammate.
Contract tracing wasn't a word that was in my vocabulary this time last year, along with some others in 2020, it became quite familiar.
I have been remote working since before thanksgiving so having this guy around home
with me was little extra special. He was forced to slow down a bit. He did well keeping up on his school work and has some time for his robot and new computer. He played some battleship with his dad.
And baked cookies while I worked (think we need to trash that couch, its going lol)
Letting me know that I wasn't welcome on that side of the screen, there was a zoom call on there!
Just my guy on his seat when he comes to visit me while I'm working.
I've been blessed to be at home more this year. I'm headed back into the office
a few days a week and home the others after the first of the year. Reflecting back
on the extra moments captured has me thankful.
