Covid 19|| Our Easter

He is Risen!

A little cliche these days - but Easter looked really different this year.

It's one I will remember, tho.

We had time for a slow morning (when we would normally would have been to sunrise service and had breakfast and then come back home)...we were waking up and making Biscuits and Gravy.

Baskets were VERY simple - one each of their favorite candy and a new game to share - Catan.

(2 weeks later, we might be experts on said game and have played several rounds and even banned said game for 3 days due to arguments, real life)

Amen to that!

Joe had put the hardware back on this little beauty - it looks great in it's new home.

This banner stays up all year - Joe made it in Discovery Club at church - 

has a special meaning this week of the year!

I set the table with Fiesta for Easter for the first time ever!  

Grandma made the boys a pan of cinnamon rolls for their Easter present.

I would show you a picture - oh wait, we at them!

We did a devotion and then we listened to service together.  

I REALLY enjoy taking notes and focusing on the sermon.

But, I sure to do miss my church friends.

We enjoyed Easter baskets.

Everyone was satisfied.  Love that.

We played a round of Catan

this child did not lose gracefully

he followed me into our bedroom and flung himself

on the bed to pout...we recovered and played a round later...

I kinda forget what we did for supper but I know we had fundraiser 

Texas Roadhouse rolls!

I love my bible app on my phone - several in the family did this devotional together!

I looked over at who I was sharing the couch with and he was suddenly like 20~~~~

We've been taking a lot of driveway walks - not the most flattering picture of either of us-

but I'm reminded that flattering has lots of different looks and joy is one of them.

We were laughing at ourselves.

Thankful for the slow pace of Easter this year.

Thankful for our Risen Savior!

We missed gathering with our families and that will be even sweeter next time.

Covid 19 || Easter Eve

WHA!?!

Yep, it was time to start practicing!  We headed down to the church and drove around for practice.  

See that little smirk, he was excited - don't let him fool you!  

And he did really good, Joe even agreed.  

My friend lives near and I saw her a couple days later - she was out mowing and almost texted us, but figured it out later when we kept going in circles over and over again!

We worked in the yard later in the afternoon

clearing trees that have died or blew over in the storm.

And turned it into our evening supper and entertainment.

The fire was still so blazing hot though DH had to adapt his shirt

to cover his arm and cook the hot dogs for us, ha!

There has been more time for writing in our journal, shhh - Don't tell him I noticed.

And Joe's hat - I have no idea!>!

What a beautiful evening!  This tree burned clear thru and

we knew it was going to fall - Dan heard it fall about 1130 that night -

I might have been snoozing lol

Covid 19 || Easter Saturday

We enjoyed our Saturday before Easter, we got our baby cousin fix

by visiting in a socially distant fashion!

We enjoyed Morgan's Redbud trees, I hope she can save some on her property over the years.

Their house is really coming along, sucha super house plan, I love the design!  

Will and Scott were working on the floors and we got to take Walker some Easter eggs.

Look at this sweetie snuggled in his mom's arms.  

He has that I'm safe over here look on his face.  LOL.

Joe was hiding in the fireplace to be hole - he was playing peek a boo.

Scott was trying to convince Joe that it was Walker's play pen area!

We have the cutest little balloon business in town - she shared her talents

on the town square to spread cheer. It was so cute.

We stopped by the Callahan Clan house and hid a few eggs

for Graham and Quinn - it was SOOOOO HARD not to pick them up

and love on them.  They were sweet hunting eggs.

We got a sneak peek at Theo snuggled in the stoller.

We weren't quite as close at it looks.  My goodness it will be so special

when we finally get to hold him.  We will have to draw names for who gets to go first.

the eggs made her go into a little more!

Covid 19|| Week 4 - Friday finally

These quarantine weeks do seem long. But, overall, looking back, the time has gone fast.

I'm not sure how that made sense.  Friday was a bit chillier but we enjoyed working outside.

The boys worked HARD for me after I fed them biscuits and gravy and we filled eggs

for the kiddos.

We had storm damage to pick up, mulch to finish,

 and I decided to add more rock to the landscaping again, haha.

I sure hope someone gets to come over and visit after all this hard work!

And is all of this stuff we are working on going to need redone at the same time?!?

I'm going to need another round of quarantine.

They elected to work on sticks/limbs while I did mulch.

It was the best choice, I could tell they are so much older - they 

did not need my direction at all.  

My model after all this mulch was finished.  

I guess it was breaktime, I missed out on that.

But, I will say I was relieved that they did not totally disappear inside on me.

Some before pics, I cannot keep this area weeded. 

It's away from where everyone sees and it is shady and IMPOSSIBLE

so rock it is- hopefully it goes better.

They helped, I promise - they also got sidetracked, with weapons.

It must be a boy thing.

After....well, in between. We are ready for DH and a big load of Alabama Sunset.

We picked up our landscaping rock at the farm yesterday afternoon to add in here.

I told you I've been thinking on this, a lot.

Some of normal was working...I miss some of normal!

My Friday night was finishing this little cabinet, I learned my lesson and moved outside to sand it

and 

Apparently, Dan was looking into the mouth of a fish, this showed up on my camera roll!?!

I'm glad he went fishing, made for a delicious meal!
