I started working at a retail pharmacy in 1996.
I have worked in retail pharmacy for 24 years, first as a technician, an intern and then a pharmacist.
June 1st was the first day of my new job with True Rx.

June 1st was the first day of my new job with True Rx.
Since quarantine restrictions were still in place,
we went to the office and met other new hires and a few folks who were working in the office
They set us up with computers and extra screens and a few instructions and sent us back home
to train remotely. I left the boys at Grandma's that day so I could get the hang of things
but the next 3 weeks I was home with them working/training from home.
We thoroughly enjoyed the time since I had not been at home at all this spring.
I also liked having them at home because they helped me with technology!
My first day of work photo for my friend, A!
Thankful for the support from DH, the boys, and Grandma Jean as
we work thru a new work schedule.
And I need to brag a bit on my boys who tackled the laundry on my first day.
This stack of folded towels blessed me big time!
I received some beautiful flowers, love them!
I was able to do some of the training outside and I took advantage of that.
I actually focused really good outside!
Joe made a list of the meeting times when I was live online so they knew when I was busy.
I had other items to work on in between!
Joe and I snuck in a quick swim over lunch one day. Swimming beats lunch any day if you ask me!
Some of my new responsibilities!
The change has been good for me to reset a bit and delve into devotions again.
And God's has revealed encouraging words at just the right time for me in the season.
I look forward to my early morning walks and podcasts to get the day started.
Sam's help was needed at the farm, DH was on his way home from Evansville after he delivered beans. He called ahead and Sam met him at the end of the driveway.
Love being home to catch a few of these moments.
This.
My decision hasn't been the popular one, but it has been the right one for our family.
And then there is this.
I've needed some reassurance going from the one who answers the questions
to the one who asks the questions.
But, I 'm determined to give value!
His attempt at not bothering me while I worked, ha!
And below he was my office handyman helping me with the fan.
I feel lucky and blessed to work for a company that is diverse and offers so many opportunities.
I loved and enjoyed my job as a retail pharmacy manager,
and I am also loving this position as a clinical pharmacist for True Rx.
I miss my coworkers who were like family and my patients - there isn't a connection quite like that.
