Fall break was spent around home this year.
The boys had a week away from school, but mom and dad were not quite so lucky.
We still caught a few special moments during the week.
There are a fewer moments when we catch them playing
but I cherish when we do.
Their imaginations soar and their bond grows stronger.
Memories like this are irreplaceable for me because by
next fall break we might not capture this moment.
This guy was in full fall break mode.
On Monday, the boys and I enjoyed a great lunch together
at Applebee's before Sam had dental surgery.
DH does not like Applebees - he says it is freezer food that they
heat up (haha, no shortage of opinions from him) but we
were still trying to make him miss us while he farmed.
Sam had dental surgery done to remove some extra teeth he
had in the top of his mouth. We prepared as much as possible,
and we were never so thankful when it was over.
The tears that dropped off Sam's face during the procedure
were gut-wrenching for mama.
But, as soon as we left the office he was much better
and I admired how well he recovered.
He even braved it alone for 15 minutes while I ran over to CoOp to
take the farmer a drink.
Graber Hill has a new semi this year, I'm planning to
get me a ride this winter!
This guy painted a spooky Halloween house.
He needed zero help from mom. Tears.
Joe also made us a personalized Jenga game.
Love!
As the week moved on and Grandma took her turn nursing
Sam back to health, we found some time for chess.
And mini golf
And a little bowling in Batman socks
