We have a new high school basketball coach this season
and there seems to be a lot to look forward to! I drafted this post back at the beginning of December
and I'm just getting to post it in January and while there are a couple of losses in there, their overall success has continued.
It's really hitting home more and more as the boys near high school. And we don't know if our boys will develop into varsity basketball players, but we love the basketball program so it is fun to experience their hard work paying off.
We played rival ND in the first game of the season and we came out on top!
The atmosphere was excellent, so many people on hand to cheer on both teams... and on a Tuesday night! This is southern Indiana basketball!
Look at this sweet face we found at the game.
Quinn that is!
The varsity Lions are ranked 7th so far in Class A but have some big opponents coming up!
And then there is this girl and her teammates - they were ranked number 1 at the beginning of the season and that's a lot to live up to- but they have delivered! Still ranked at the top today!
They played the same night as the varsity boy, they had a great crowd and played so well.
The next night Dan took the boys to the Hatchet House an iconic gym to watch Washington play Barr Reeve. Big crowds from small towns.
Current rankings! ❤️🏀
Cool memories! Joe's in this picture, top row and he is pumped about that dunk!
And catching this guy reading about teams and soaking in the tradition of Loogootee basketball- ❤️ LOVE.
