Creative Friday.

We enjoyed our bonus Friday last week.

Boys had the day off due to a saved snow day and mama had regular day off!

We were kinda lazy in the morning but then got ready and headed to Evansville

to paint at Snickerdoodle Art. The days of these activities interesting these boys are ticking away,

but we had a good time together!

They each chose their favorite sport and set out to create personal art.

And mama also chose here favorite for some poolside décor.

Sam might have been done with pics and the sun was bright, uh the drama.

The shop owner recommended a pizza place FPF just down the street, and it was Sam's day to choose.

Pizza it was, Joe was equally happy when he found wings on the menu.

Showing Dad that he owned them.

We had fun being goofy together.

All around great day together, then we hurried home to play some baseball.

Love being their mama and creating our memories together.

April Wrap-Up!

We've mixed in a little yard work in April, because May promises to be even fuller!
I ALWAYS choose red geraniums because they were mom's favorite, but I went with
this pink this year - it was calling my name!
I still cherish this window box DH made me in 2002. 
We have used it front and center at our last two homes.

Hosted a Tri Kappa Meeting last week with friends - our theme was our favorite place in Martin Co.

We served all local food - BBQ from the Lodge, Stroms from Pizza Junction, Chips and Salsa from Los Bravos and Dilly Bars from DQ.  It was a big hit.

We decorated in our school colors and I brought a few local items from home with hometown ties.

And we have a young gentleman who has decided to try band.

This is a big shock to his parents...this one wants the radio off and no one singing.

We are kinda pumped his wants to give it a shot. 

He did well with the sax and the gentleman told him his height would allow the tenor sax.

Excited to see him proud and ready to try something new.

And our ever inventing son with his collection of items from every where box.

The gloves, I'm dying.

He found this outside.  I thought it was a leaf, but he labeled it unknown fur..

all be darn he was right!  It had a furry hair under the microscope.

Love his curious mind!

A small amount of mulch mountain is waiting on the farmer to operate the scoop on the tractor to place the last of the mulch this year.

And we planted this tree that Joe brought home from Earth day at school.
It was also Arbor Day - but he insists it was for Earth day.
We planted it either way!

And a RARE sight during April - supper!

I sent it to the farmer trying to lure him out of the field.

He ate it at 9:45pm.

I was not as successful as I had hoped.

We washed sheets the other day (on a rained out day from baseball) and all the boys saw was
perfect fort making blankets for a nerf war - surprise! 

And our rainy Sunday afternoon - a mattress we were ready to discard has become a basement favorite! DH made us popcorn popper popcorn and we played some PlayStation which turned into a nap for me, ha!

And yesterday, two of my guys enjoyed lunch out and sent me this picture.
Turds.

It's finally May - vacation awaits at the end of this month.
I can already smell the ocean air.

They get along sometimes - love.

April Baseball!

As the boys get older, I find fewer opportunities to catch every day moments.

If I want to capture them, I am met with some "ah, mom, no pics" resistance.

But, I captured a few this month along with some of our activities that keep us busy!

These Bomber boys were rewarded with a trophy for there 3 for 3 tourney.  They work hard together.

They are learning teamwork and dedication to a joint goal!

Big Joe has been sporting a new hairstyle and DH styled it a little after his shower the other night.

He wanted to show Blake, so we sent her this picture.

Little League opening day was rained out last Saturday (seems to be a common occurrence)

So, Tuesday night was the first Little League game of the season.  Joe is playing for the Oakland A's.

He thinks that is cool since we saw their stadium when we were in San Francisco two summers ago.

Mom is excited that he can wear black pants for Little League.

No scrubbing = win!

His buddy Mason is beside him, they play Bombers and Little League on the same team.

Short stop Debut.  He did pretty good - we missed a pop fly but he is a rock star

at backing up the pitcher and prevent stolen bases. Blake, Noah, and Christine came to this game!

And later in the week our Friday night game.

He had an audience for this game, too.  Drew played after so we saw Will, Jill, Jaelyn and some of our friends.

And he pitched two innings.  He struck out 6 batters!  He mixed in  couple walks for interest - haha!

Will and DH's favorite was the stare down at the beginning of his pitching.

We are proud of our baseball player and the improvement his is showing!

His team won their first game and tied in their second at the time limit.
