Since I'm playing catch up, looking back on these pics while we were in the thick of the COVID quarantine seem pretty charming. Days filled with essential work but evenings with nothing on the schedule. It's June now and we have eased back out of restrictions - still large events are cancelled but most work is back on now and we are back at church.
Somehow Tuesdays became our Taco Bell days for lunch. The boys tried all their slushies, we fed the farm crew one day, went to the park at Washington one day and Parklands in Jasper one day (all with Taco Bell, ha)
Grandma helped Sam sew pillows out of old jerseys for his bed. I thought they might go in our basement but they haven't left this bed yet, ha!
The farmer needed me to meet him in town to run a quick errand where the truck wouldn't go
so I picked up a hitchiker.
Sam made us homemade pizza a couple of times, yum.
Gorgeous flowers and gorgeous Nicole at work - COVID Porch pick me up - they worked.
Joe came up with a mask solution at Grandma's one day.
And he will take apart anything - the circut board is now taped to his wall...
Slow Saturday's don't exist at our house but this was one- breakfast casserole, grapes and coffee!
We were able to resume playing Catan and still love each other at the end.
Sam finally got a win.
There have been theories about Covid 19 being a political hoax or conspiracy.
Information galore opinions are a dime a dozen -wear a mask,
don't wear a mask. Open things back up again - no keep them closed.
Honestly, we just don't know exactly what is the best course- it continues to be unprecedented.
Quick errand for the farmer at sunrise one morning.
Teaching this guy to make Taco Salad!
Elearning in full swing
The robot has been back out a lot.
The boys helped me make a meal to share - we took food to Aunt Peg and Polly,Uncle Carl
and Blake and Noah - Sam made the cookies, Joe the taco salad and I made the turkey and corn!
Topped them off with our favorite blessing,
Essential work continued even when most was shut down or done from home.
Our HR dept sent us hand written thank you notes - so kind of them.
The days are long when wearing a mask. It took time to adjust and sometimes a moment to step away is necessary - there was no room for snacking, ha!
I channeled my inner Martha Stewart and adapted this mask - love the way it fit but it had bottom wings so i tucked them in and sewed them shut.
The robot tshirt folder made another appearance.
