I told my staff soon after I had made my decision, we had about a month left.
I could have been a lifetime or a few days, it did not make preparing to go any easier.
It is so very hard to leave something that is good.
And, I am so grateful for the opportunity that WB has given me for 18 years.
I wonder if someday I will take the time to reflect and list the numerous
things it has given me...a challenge for myself.
Memories are good to reflect upon.
On my last Friday with WB (still had a few days the next week), the girls surprised
me with a super sweet and enjoyable party. We had a Tourist Spirit Day that day to boost spirits during Corona. I was in full dress up mode - so it makes these pics funny.
I was very surprised when I came into this set up and the surprises kept rolling in all day long.
From the folks that came to the delicious foods and the kind words and gifts.
I felt cherished. That is a good feeling, not afraid to say so!
Grandma made us one of her world famous cakes!
This might have been a constellation (eat your feelings kinda) cake for all of us ,too.
These Washington WB besties came over to surprise and celebrate! I will
remember that forever.
But, goodness these girls. They have been my lifeline, help, and friends daily at Loogootee WB
that's all - otherwise tears.
And, Rachel, my partner in crime - so so thankful for her and our friendship.

I missed a picture with Tony - probably by design on his part...but, he made me this giant
gift to erase my mistake, in case I feel the need. We laughed together!
Some thoughtful gifts and more of the Loogootee WB rocks I cherish.
Our Owner CC Williams came and grabbed some dessert and that meant a lot.
And then my family came for lunch - Dan had grilled the turkey strips for us to enjoy.
And these sweeties who were born while there mama worked for me and now they are Kindergarten graduates!
We were in the midst of a WB challenge - a virtual scavenger hunt and we needed a Lei....
uh hello - how about a selfie of the prettiest Lei I know!?!
We laughed and laughed completing our entry for the Virtual scavenger hunt.
It was a much needed laugh for an emotional day.
It doesn't look like we did much work - my boss was so kind in coming to help cover
for a portion of the day!
And at 7pm at the end of my shift, I came out and sat in my van for the drive home
and I looked up and what was splattered all over my window?
Bird doo doo...
I texted the staff and asked if it had been arranged to show their true feelings....
SMH.
This is a remarkable change for me.
Leaving the familiar for the uncertain is not in my wheelhouse...
I fully trust in the Lord, and that He has a great plan.
