We are Proud!!

We often get so caught up in all the work it takes to make it from day to day, with everyone fed, clean and sheltered, that we forget to take a moment to reflect on the amazing feats our families achieve in dozens of small ways each day. And, then, every once in a while… it happens. Your child stops you in your tracks by demonstrating that the values and lessons you’ve been sharing have taken hold. It may be something small, like showing tenderness to a crying friend, or offering to help set the table without being asked. It’s the moment you knew you were doing something right as a parent.

We certainly are proud that Sam was voted to receive the Sportsmanship award for his YMCA basketball team!  He was voted by his coach and some of the other coaches.  He was very proud as well, especially when I told him just exactly what the award meant.
He is really enjoying his team, calls them the gray team (because it is the color of his shirt) and asks daily when his next game is.  I ran onto the above quote on Pinterest this week from b-inspired mama, it is so fitting.  But I certainly don't want to take all the credit.  I think this boy has a pretty special personality and I learn from his sensitive side daily, so proud God chose us the raise him!!!
Congrats Samuel George!
