Basketball Wraps Up 2018

The basketball regular season has wrapped up for both boys.
Joe's team had a great day in a Loogootee tourney.
They showed improvement all season long.
Love their hustle!

He made the free throw!

Dribble Drive!  I kept hearing coach (dad) yell Dribble Drive from the bench.
They learned a lot of plays this season.
Their fundamentals are being built for the future Lions!

Joe and this guard battled all day so we called it the battle of the hightoppers.

And even though the regular season has ended, the start of spring weather
has mom hearing a lot of basketballs dribbled in the driveway.
Sam is still in a stage against photos - he was out here the same day
but not interest in photos.

And the weather also means I am hearing the crack of the bat.
Looking forward to spring sports around here...baseball and golf!

Sam's basketball season also came to an end last weekend
at the Jammin in Jasper Basketball Tourney.
Friday night I worked and Dan took boys down.
We watched a competitive game on
Saturday and enjoyed dinner with Will and Jill and crew that night,
and we were back early Sunday for a 9am game (tourney day).
But, we had a sick boy who did score a basket in the first game but
made it very clear that was the end.  He was done.
We came home and treated him for strep and started neb treatments.
His team went on to place second in the tourney!  Great day for his team!
Sam missed school on Monday (rare for that guy) but that day made him ready
for ISTEP week so it was the best decision.
