Christmas Day

Christmas morning the boys woke excited as they anticipated
celebrating Jesus' birthday. We found the babe in the manger in our nativity set.
And it set the tone for a thankful and sweet Christmas family celebration.
I wrap even the small things like new sippy cups.
But the boys loved their new Toy Story Race track and bean bag chairs.
And this was the best present of all, my name on my present for the first year.
You better believe this tag is a keeper!
Thank you Sam {and daddy for the help}

And we stayed in our jammies all day, we ate breakfast casserole
and toast and watched Toy Story 3 while DH read his George Bush book.

Until it was time to enjoy our White Christmas Snowflakes.
I envisioned trudging in the snow like Mary and Joseph
but DH joined us and it turned into...

our first family snowball fight! I definately have boys and am outnumbered! We came in to warm up and celebrate a certain sweet 5 year old's birthday.
Sam was surprised by his cake and took in us singing to him.
And asked us to do it again...so we did!

We used mommy's new (picked out by her boys) gift.
And enjoyed popcorn and cake?
And marveled in the beauty of the view outside.

Until it was time to celebrate at Grandma and Grandpa's House
Where gma had baked Sam his own cake to decorate too!
Grandma had the stockings hung and filled to the brim.
We were honored to celebrate this Christmas Day with 2 sweet foster children that Dan's brother and his wife are nuturing.-
This filled Grandpa's hooks right up and there was only one left!

We sang to Sam again after a yummy meal of shrimp scampi and steak.
And Grandma finished it off with a sweet cheesecake creation.
Celebrate the Reason for the Season!
