We started our Staycation Holiday World style.
And instead of thinking about all that we have missed in Florida {cause rainy days in Florida are way worse than rainy days in Indiana, right?} we chose to think about all we could have missed here if we had gone! That was a lot of words to say we made the best of it!
It had been awhile since we took on HW as a family.
We had a lot of fun hitting our favorite spots, just the 4 of us.
We got there before all the gates were open.
It was nice out at this point, but it got steamy by mid afternoon.
Fun tradition to see how they grow.
Sam's going to catch Santa one of these years!
And big Joe with his map, guiding us thru the park.
Our first stop is always the old fashioned cars.
Look his was coming up behind us!
About this time Sam says he isn't feeling well which is very unusual.
He and DH found some shade and some sprite and he felt better after we
got some lunch.
We loved the swings.
And we all enjoyed the raging rapids.
A few more rides like the turkey scrambler and turkey shooting game, our absolute favorite, ha!
And then the boys talked us into eating at the Thanksgiving restaurant. Aunt Jill and Drew and Jaelyn rave about it. I thought that kind of food sounded terrible at a theme park, but
it was delicious! I skipped the carbs and had turkey and green beans and PUDDING.
Let me tell you about the pudding.
It become our joke nearly all week.
First off, I paid almost as much for it as the kids meal I ordered,
and we were certain it was from a cafeteria can,
but I'm telling you all - delicious!
It made us laugh, and Sam was feeling better after our break here!
Since then, I'll I've heard is well we could get this or do that if you hadn't spent $5 on that pudding, ha!
We headed to the water park to cool off, only picture from here since
we put all of stuff in the locker {such big kids, sniff}
Boys each chose 1 game to play on the way out,
basketball it was.
We made it home in time for Will to come by and borrow the mower, good to see him
and we avoided the storms that rolled in that night!
It was raining in Fort Walton and we could have missed this!
