This guy played WC at the high school gym
towards the end of this 8th grade season.
Just a little preview into games next season.
Sigh.
Years ago this felt far off - watching his team this year
they have seemed so grown up.
The meaning of playing basketball for Loogootee has started
to resonate a bit more with Sam this year.
It's been a big year for our school
there's a VERY GOOD vibe - a positive air.
He's looking forward to being a part of the team this summer, to develop
and play on the freshman team - it's rewarding to have the conversations
with Sam when he realizes all this - some of his teammates will have spots
on the JV roster!
It's been a privilege to watch them and cheer them on - they one this game big.
