Covid 19 || Week 2

Joe has a countdown going to help us keep motivated thru the quarantine.
According to him, we haved thru week 2.
And Sam practically argued with us about yesterday (Saturday) being Friday.

There have been a lot of days at the farm.  The cart was out to haul wood.

Sam said the best part of working at the farm is the 4 wheeler.

He looks grown up.

THANK GOODNESS for signs of spring.  Working in the landscaping has been
therapeutic.  It has rained a lot so the ground is soft and weeds are in plenty, but they
pull easily.  It's early but I'm ready for our Preen and mulch to liven things up.
Most likely because we spend so much time here!

Recording some of the  data here for memory sake.
The virus does continue to spread, we are not on the down slide yet.
I feel our restrictions will increase over the next few weeks.
I wish we were at the height, but our county has not reported any cases yet
and we won't escape this without any cases.

And the projects to keep us occupied and teach the boys a bit about DIY home improvements
continue - the laundry, bath and back hall got freshened up!  We are either enabling their
future abilities OR convincing them to always hire work out, hahaha>
It's amazing what fits in 3 small areas!

And let me rave a bit on our schools- every Tuesday (even during Spring Break) they package
5 breakfasts and lunches for each student - so we come home with 10 complete meals!
We don't NEED them, but they are offered and encouraged for each student.
They were a bright spot for us this week - our kids loved the milk and juices -we've eaten most of it!
I took the pic above of the BackPack Blessing bag that came along with them from Redemption Church with Ramen Noodles...our kids have never had them -likely because Dan or I have never had them!  We can introduce ourselves to the fine art of dining - will one pack feed all of us - LOL?!?

It was a gook week at work - we had awesome messages at our back door when we came in
on Wednesday. Our patients have been respectful. We are still wearing PPE but we are
settling in with that. Wednesday was the day after the essential travel only warning
and our foot traffic was down tremendously.
And Jean made us Taco Salad - yummy!!!!!

A little motivation from our mascot.

Pics to remind us of the in between - that door is back on it's hinges now
and the trim got a second coat and the painter's tape is up too!  I swept and put furniture back in place too!

Bye bye to the chalkboard wall, a little sad to see it go.

This boy and his room.  Well his room is just fine -it's his love of stuff.
But, I can relate to that - he's getting it the way he wants tho
he purged more stuff and spent some time relaxing in here last night so it must
be getting comfortable!

Frying us fish that they caught - yum -oh and home made french fries!

More facts to remember where we were in the quarantine - I may care someday...

Covid 19|| Pharmacy Life

Pharamcy during COVID 19 is tough.
It's been rewarding and tiring
and a bit terrifying.
It's exhausting and exasperating.
I had a customer laugh at me for wearing a N95 mask and gloves
 on Saturday.
There are few licensed individuals in any given community
that can legally dispense life saving drugs.
Need insulin? Or heart medication or seizure medication?
You need a healthy pharmacist.
So chuckle if you please and think we are overreacting -
I hope we are, I hope we never REALLY NEED  the masks -
I hope because we are wearing them that we never truly knew the threat.
I'll continue to protect myself from the public who doesn't always use their best judgment
or needs to stop by for medication.
I'll shower at night and wash my clothes every shiftt.as soon as I get home
to limit my family's exposure.
Most of our customers are thankful and patient and we are so grateful to care for them.
Our staff is the best.  We are in this together.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1WEOhV-ixMYC8rXKCjv4iG8lN6YuljXA-https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1JoF36_W2WtlAhwTY6Zllv-2FQW9TEYCmhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1vVSKFgB-NpB0g-Cs7mldUymwnHNIAQdk
And the farmer came thru BIG time when he brought us some N95 masks from the farm
for us to use due to the shortage.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=17uU1g4tVWG8k0WTLz7TrObmlhKqL0T32
It's uncharted and unprecedented. I have not ever seen anything like it.
But, we will rise to this challenge too.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1xg1f9kfP7MKqbsMhF-WBBCdHxxJuIv3Ehttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1hwNUokyK_yKuZSX7OiGeDf4lIaIiNzbXhttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1Vib6InTHW3rfCJNIKRFSFdEfoJOY-D7U
And Kenny Rodgers died - only 10 can attend funerals with the new rule.
We rocked Masks and Kenny on Saturday.

Covid 19 || Room Redo

The RED room is no LONGER red!
It's been the red room since we moved here in 2007.
I had talked it over, you know the we need to do it...and I came home Wednesday night
to stuff moved out of the room.

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1NdIlUI1chlTqKqmzSqKJZWCbf2e12LEb
Piles for our sweek Joe ( our lover of things)
to sort, he is done as of today. I DID NOT intervene

 - let him choose and be responsible for what he keeps.

Eeks, that some of that stuff is still there, moving it back in as we can.
It's one of those projects that grows a bit - you know well now we need to do the trim
and the doors and we could paint the hinges on the doors because we've never liked the brass......
and and and - but it feels good to work together to accomplish it.

From red to Illusive Green for an accent wall.
It's a gorgeous color, might use the other 1/2 gallon somewhere.

Favorite part of the project was watching this guy work.
He was not the most precise but he was very willing.
He worked hard trimming all the way around the room and
was a pro at climbing the 15 foot ladder and trimming the ceiling - thankful for that!

I got up this high, but then I couldn't go higher. Anyway I pitched in everyway I could.
