Since the boys, all the boys were in bed at midnight last night, mama rang in the new year by herself by watching the ball drop from our couch. We had went to a youth party for church and had a great time, but the boys didn't quite make it and we came home at 11pm. To start the new year, we made cinnamon melt muffins.
Sam loves to cook anything.
Joe loves to eat anything.
We sat down for a quick breakfast together. Our conversation went something like this:
Daddy: What happened to the muffins?
Mama: (Admitidly, because they were crumbly) Well, I think I need new bakeware...
Sam: (Thank goodness he rescues the situation) Ma, nank you for the muffims.
Mama: Aaahh, Sam, you are welcome. Daddy you are welcome, too.
Joe: Grunt
Now the funny part that has been going on as a joke around our house the last few days. Daddy has been trying to get Sam to refer to mama as "The Bag". I know not nice, but it has been hilarious b/c Sam doesn't get the expression at all and has turned it around so many times.
Sam this morning at daddy's prompting: Ma, is you in the bag?
We packed up and headed to our good friends Melissa and Brent's. We feel so at home in their home. Our kids, 2 boys and 2 girls, are stairsteps from 1-4 and play well together. The guys shot clay pigeons and other objects that weren't moving (water jugs?!?) while we played inside, re-lived the holidays and made potato soup and bread for lunch. It was yummy and the company was even better.
Sam and Kyleigh - these two are so cute when playing together.
Happy New Year to All!
