Our Robotics team had an awesome run at State Finals last week.
We received our packets with schedules and maps and prepared
the kids to bring the best energy they could find!
We added a last minute mission complete with a robotic arm on Thursday night.
And on Saturday we were up early and at University of Southern Indiana
for the state competition. We were greeted by the Eagle Mascot.
We were in for an impressive place to showcase the robots.
Our team presented their three projects to the judges early and were up to the challenge.
Last minute tips from the coach, Mr. Woodard.
Showing Joe the competition space, he was impressed and very excited.
Waiting on our practice table run
We met some friendly competitors from Jasper and Shoals and Paoli, they were sharing tips
and practice space.

They had 3 rounds - and they were tough on us.
Our robot was just not cooperating as it had in practice.
Below they are waiting on the stage and round 2-
The event was on You Tube so Grandma and Grandpa, Noah and Aunt Shannon all tuned
in to catch a round. And it came in handy because mom and dad had to leave early for the WB Christmas party - we watched round 3 driving down 69!
And imagine our excitement when received this text from my fellow coach Audrey.
They had received the Rookie Award!

So much to celebrate with this team! They came in underdogs with a couple of rookie parents to help (thank goodness for a seasoned leader) and they brought so much energy and were so very successful.
