We've found some time for fun and family in July
along with a little work and responsibility at home.
Boys were invited over to French Lick for a golf pro kids fair.
It was smoking hot but a very neat day for the kids.
They had some nice giveaways along with putting, chipping and driving stations
with tips from the semi-pro players that were there for an event later that weekend.
And this |braces| is happening
for both of them...
This is kinda how we feel about braces...
and this guy is in for a longer haul than his older brother.
Joe found some time to snuggle with Grandma,
you never outgrow Grandma's lap, right?
Dryce had a (girl)friend here for a few days and we got to
hang out with them one Sunday afternoon.
Kathryn fit right into our crazy crew - we attempted to make
bouncy balls...it was fun but no so successful.
They kinda bounced, ha!
Oh and the paper bowls were not successful at all, the mixture ate right thru that.
And our friends Greg and Lela, Tori and Dylan came over for the afternoon.
And because things had slowed down a bit we decided
to start some guitar lesson with our sweet neighbor Kris Ann.
Both boys have been asking for a couple of years...
Sam has decided not to do band this year so this seemed like
a good way to continue his ever so slight interest in music...
and Joe well, he is EXCITED!
We made a trek to the farm to take 'break' out.
Our Amish store in town has donuts now, so we took those
and we enjoyed a few moments at the farmhouse.
So many memories here and I'm glad the boys
have them, too. I surely wish those memories had Grandma Great
wandering around her kitchen cooking up a stew and hollering Come In Come In Come In!
What they do have tho, is their own memories of cookies on the counter and pop in the fridge on the porch
And a game of basketball played with semi flat mini IU balls
played on the goal formed behind the kitchen door.
The challenge is now lost on this one who can dunk
without jumping, ha.
We also grabbed us another start of aloe from Grandma Great's plant,
One for me and one for Joe's bedroom.
Joe continues to develop and create.
He made a baseball game to play with his baseball card collection.
More on this game soon...it is actually a pretty neat concept!
Man, I love this kiddo and his constant creations!
My FAVORITE part is that he loves his dad's cards, too.
So we play with his new cards and the classics.
Matt Adams vs. Mickey Mantle.
Tee Hee.
Also, maybe I should check if that Mickey Mantle card is worth anything, ha!
