Last Thursday our speller took the stage for spell bowl competition!
Joe had a bit of a rough night. He spelled first for his team and I hoped he would come out with a roaring start, but he missed the first word and then 2 others. He felt defeated.
Of course, we were proud of him = I mean one of his words was auroura borelias - ha!
As the night went on his whole team did awesome and it was
an excellent first hand example for Joe on the importance of teamwork.
Cheering on teammates and working together, they were able to achieve first place!
Receiving their 1st place ribbons - score in their division (bleachers stands) was 39.
We looked later and this scored about 20th in the state!
Spell bowl and Robotics club had been delayed one night due to an early winter snow day...
so we came home from spell bowl and went straight to robotics club then back home to prepare
for our presentation the next morning.
